Hey Guys,

I have searched the forum, youtube, afterdawn, etc.. for hours but am unable to figure out what I am doing wrong.

I have a liteon phat 74850c that needs to be replaced but I don't have the original dummy file since I flashed it a while back. so this is what i have done:

1. Obtain another liteon phat 74850c drive to replace the old one.
2. CK3 probe OLD drive and obtain dummy file.
3. Place OLD Dummy file in SOURCE.
4. Place LTPlus-0251-v3.0.bin in TARGET
5. Press "Spoof Source to Target".
6. Disconnect OLD drive and Plug in NEW drive and make sure JH sees new drive.
7. Click on MTK FLASH-Liteon Erase-Write-Outro.

Everything appears to be have worked right but when I put in NEW drive into xbox and just try to play an Original game(not even a backup), I hit play-it looks like it is going to start the game but just returns me to the main screen. It doesn't even appear to see the game as the "Play game" widget doesn't change to the appearance of whatever game disk I have in the drive.

Please advise if I left out ay information and any help is greatly appreciated.

You should have the replacement drive connected ready for flashing.

Try stock firmware (use PRE or POST stock firmware depending on the console's dashboard version - 13141 and above is POST and below is PRE) with a retail game disc.

Thanks for the quick reply but I am sort of unclear of your suggestions. When you say I needed to have the replacement drive reasy for flashing, I thought I explained in item #6 that I did that. Did I miss a step?

My consoles dash board is literally the latest(2.0.16202.0) FYI. I have just tried your suggestion in putting the POST in the TARGET, and my OLD drive Dummy in SOURCE and I still get the same results or lack thereof.

Hello guys, well I took into a local rep here in Florida for modchipcentral and he said I am hosed. he was getting the same result as I was. We get a key from the progonal drive but the key ws a generic 5aa5aa5aa5555aa....... So he thinks I overwrote the key somehow and the only way to resolve is to RGH. Is it even possible to write over a key?? Well if it is true that I am hosed, I guess I will be looking for a used xbox on craigslist because I heard that to do an RGH is not worth the time nor effort.

Is it even possible to write over a key?? answer: yes
The original drive or JF's keydb is the only chance you have w/o having to rgh the console
From what I have read you have omitted a few things

based on this:
I have a liteon phat 74850c that needs to be replaced but I don't have the original dummy file since I flashed it a while back.
and this:
2. CK3 probe OLD drive and obtain dummy file.

1. Was the OLD drive originally working? (cfw flashed by you)
2. If you ONLY dumped the drive, then the actual key is still on the drive (which sounds like you did overwrite the OLD drive)
3. If you flashed the OLD drive originally (while it was working), and you have not reformatted your PC, then there is a good chance JF's keydb has the key.

#3 (JF KEYDB) is deff your best chance < start there

After reviewing your JF log (seeing this generic key 5AA....), why you didn't immediately see that the key was not a valid looking key, that should have been an instant " somethings not right signal". Yet you continued.

Your "lack of info" doesn't help to resolve this issue very easily.

BTW: ALL phat lo's become 0251's after 13xxx dash update.

Yes Jungleflasher has a KEYDB

Since you did overwrite the drives fw, just open the keydb and try each saved key on the new drive till you get a winner.

With luck you may still have it :cool2:
