Ok so I was thinking of buying a jtagable xenon. I know they rrod easily but what are some good ways to prevent it for as long I want it to.
What I have came up with so far is
replace old heat syncs with new ones
xclamp Fix
And add more fans by soldering to the 12v pin near the power import
and put thermal pads on ram chips to add pressure to board so I does not flex.
What are some other good ways to prevent flexing so the gpu does not lift off the bourd.
Also I would love to know how long you have had your xenon.

Xclamps are fine. Change thermal paste and keep the board as cool as possible. Change target temps . Flexing and heating cycles + nonlead solder = Rrod ... But my friend has a day 1 that still runs till this day.

Well if you jtag it then you can edit them thru dash launch... If it's staying stock with I doubt since you specified a jtaggable xenon lol then you would have to read the nand then edit the smc config which can easily be done in jrunner

Dont do the 12v mod its a waste of time, just lower the temps in the SMC when you create the freeboot image in jrunner. Just clean of all the old crap under the heatsinks and replace with good thermal compound and as you say use the newer type heatsinks and keep the original xclamps.
