What BIOs 4 1.6 X2.6

Ok guys I must be a complete dink..Ive been modding PS2's for 2 years and can mod almost any model from memory...but this Xbox is going to put me in the looney BIN !!
I got the X2.6 installed no problem ...its quite easy compared to a PS2 ...but for the life of me I cannot get it to take a flash...

I have a 1.6 box...my questions are ..what size is the bios needed for this chip and what bios do I need? ...all I can find are 256K bios...I have tried many different BIos ...on both Flash's ..same result every tim" NO BIOS UPDATE FOUND HAULTING"...and yes I created a dummy file..labeled it all correctly..BIOS.BIN....DUMMY.BIN etc...

I have tried CD-R DVD-R DVD+r DVD RW....Im using NERO 6.6 and please dont provide a link to a tutorial on how to burn it...because if anyone has the same burning progaram as I do ..nothing can be more different than the tutorial and nero 6.6...all the settings in nero burning rom are not the same...
Im bloody shamed I had to ask for help ..burning a file onto a disc ...but there it is.

Did you get your bios from xbins?

right now, only bios that supports v1.6 on x2.6 is evox m8plus16 or something like that. Xecuter has not released a bios to support 1.6 as yet but soon (god knows when)

just in case you didn't know, you will need to use v3.0.1 flashbios for your 1.6 xbox. The evox bios is 256K but x2.6 needs 512k bios for it to work. Download X2 Bios Manager from the usual place and follow the steps shown on this site: http://www.teamxecuter.com/x2prog/. Make sure to put the evox bios in banks 3&4 and not 1&2. Save the bios as bios.bin and then flash with the method of your choice

I really appreciate your comments guys...but its not that easy....I have the BIOS ...but its in the 256mb form....also Im using the programmer...because you cant burn the bios onto a disc with Nero Express !! It seems you need a old computer for these issues?? The programmer will not read the chip when its plugged in ..again it seems an XP issue ..it works on old computers ....??? If anyone wants to contact me ..Im willing to trade 2 brand new mod chips(DUOX 2) for 2 discs ...one with bios and one with EVOX ...and maybe a 3RD chip for a bios for the old Box's...Im ready to smash this Box with my Hammer !!

If you are getting bios halting, then make sure you turn off the flash protection on your chip. If you still have problems PM me. BTW i tried modding my PS2 myself once and when i got the case opened i almods cried, you need a friggin microscope to solder those things. I ended up taking out to someone to mod it for me.
