What bios for Xecuter 2.6CE on a 1.6 XBOX?

Hello,

I just installed a 2.6CE mod chip on a buddies 1.6 xbox the other night, and the cromwell screen came up great, but when I took my bios and flashed bank one on the xbox, it boots to a black screen on that bank now. I forget what bios it is (I used it a few weeks ago to do a non 1.6 xbox and it worked great, so I assumed it would work here). I'm guessing that the 1.6's need a different bios? What bios should I get (I know where to get them, I can find the usual places, that is not what I'm asking, I just want to know what bios I should be going for)?

you should get the X2 5032 bios that comes with a 1.6 version bios for 1.6 boxes

there are two versions of the bios

vOld - 1.0-1.5

v16plus - 1.6/1.6b

Hi,

Sorry to ask a stupid question, but I'm in the "usual" places to get this bios, and I'm not sure if I'm getting the right one.

At Xbins, I've navigated to:

/XBOX/bios/Xecuter/Xecuter2/MULTI_VERSION/

Is that the correct one? I don't want to get the wrong one as I've already flashed one bank and only have one bank left. Can anyone verify if this is the correct one for the 1.6 xbox?

Also, I have m8_16.bin, is that one just as good as the other one, or should I hold out for the one mentioned above?

you are in the correct place to get the right bios

use the X2 5032 by far greater than the M8 bios

check out the readme1st.txt file that comes with the X2 bios download
