What box do I have, cannot open!!

This has to be the most stupid post so please forgive my noobness! I have sent my XBOX out to be modded with a X3 chip.

How will I know what version BOX I have. I was told when it is returned I cannot open it cause it will have a 30 day warranty thru the company that is doing it. There is no phone to contact them either.

If it helps - my xbox was bought brand spankin new from bestbuy the date on the bottom said sept 2004 and it came with topspin tennis and ncaa 2005. Thanks

SSV 1 Games Qustion

ok so i have a someback games that i burend a cople years ago my qustion is abgx 360 says that ajust SSV 1 angle 359 for Ixtream 1.4 and lower when it dose a stealth check the SSV 1 angle 359 comes up in red is ok to play them online then.

If the games that i have are SSV1 do i have to ReRip them so they can be SSV2



do i have to Rerip my games so that they can play on LT


I sure hope i dont have to re Rip my Games

your safest bet would be to rerip your games. BUT you can manually patch ssv1 games to be ssv2 using abgx website and schtrom360xtract. wave 1 and 2 are okay to have ssv1 as long as they have splitvid though.

so just go through all your old backups with abgx, if they do not have splitvid instantly delte them and rerip. if they have splitvid and are wave 3 and up and are ssv1, you either need to manually patch them to ssv2 or rerip using a spare 360 drive and 0800 firmware. if they are splitvid, and are ssv1 and are a wave 1 or 2. you're good to go.

Why would you need to re-rip them when you can add the split-Vid?

Just wondering if there is something I dont know about...

well since he ripped them a few years ago i'm assuming he used a kreon. i only suggest his SAFEST bet would be to re-rip them using an 0800. but since you can patch them to be ssv2, that option is also possible.

Ok agreed. One other thing thats concearning me is, if I ripped an older wave 2 (and in some cases wave 3) game using 0800 and it gave me an SS v1 but the xbgx site has both SS 1 & 2, do I patch it up with a v2, or leave it be? Thanks!

hmm that i'm not quite sure of. they say that if you rip it with an 0800 drive you're good to go. i myself, would patch it with ssv2 if its available, but my guess is, is that it's not necessary to do so if 0800 gave you ssv1. i just like to play it safe hah.

Just read this post and ill like to clear a few things up,
first thing is when you rip a game with 0800 drive itll always give you ssv2 even if the game is wave 1,
and secondly rerip every game you have with 0800 drive as ssv1 even though it`s only wave 1 and 2 it could still get you banned using them ssv1`s
