HITACHI NON-79 what can I replace with?

I have a Hitachi 59DJ that I need to replace the whole drive and not the laser. I have read that spoofing is not allowed so I cant use a 78/79 right? I want to know what drive I cant replace with if I cant find a 59 and still be xboxlive safe?

google and ebay just come up with loads of Hitachi 59DJ's for sale

Is your pcb intact?

Then you can use any hitachi.
Just make sure that you swab the pcb in the new drive with your own pcb. It should work.

You can get any hitachi drive, and just swap pcb's. If for whatever reason you cant then you NEED the dvd key and inject it into another hitachi drive with a 59DJ pcb

when you say any drive... anything under 78/79 right?

if u swap the pcb's he means u can use any drive as long as your pcb is working
