XGD3 what did i do wrong??!?!

hi there

i have a 0225 modded with Xcuter PCB and running LT 2.0

recently i tried my backed up Forza 4 and that's after checking it with abgx for topolgy data/SS/every thing..

the game installed just fine, but when i tried to launch it i got "unreadable disc error"..so i restart my xbox, try again..now i got "unsupported disc error" and -of course- got FLAGGED for failing AP 2.5 challenge..

now what did i do wrong? i read somewhere that patched XGD3s can run on LT 2.0 no problem, and many people are doing it..so what went wrong?!

Why don't you use LT 3.0 ?
That's the latest firmware for 0225 driver.
Flash you TX PCB with LT 3.0 and everything will be ok

well, i didn't have my usbpro at my disposal..so i figured i will just try that..

i doubt every thing will be OK as i have been flagged already xD..i just want to know what went wrong so i can warn my friends not to do it..

does running XGD3 which are patched with latest abgx on LT 2.0 get you Flagged like that?..or was it that the burn was not that good (Kprobe results were not in the recommended range when i tested it after i got flagged..although i doubt that can fail ap2.5 challenge!!)

LT+3.0 is out for a reason, if didnt have a purpose then development for it would be pointless. Update your drive is highly recommended.

XGD3 should work fine on LT 2.0 as it was meant to, so my question remains..

does playing patched XGD3s on LT 2.0 actually gets you flagged??!?!

how did you burn the disc ,what media did you use and did you check it with kprobe for burn quality?
as stated above you should update to lt3.0... and if getting flagged is that big of a concern to you i suggest you just stick to originals.

You can fail an ap 2.5 challenge from a scratched original if you were flagged i would not worry about it.

i actually tried to take my chances with some cheap Indian "Gigamax" DVD which i had tons lying around from my XGD2 burn stash..so the results was not pretty in Kprobe, but i had some verbs with even worse results running with no problem!!..now i am really lost!

What dash version are you on?

oh, i just ran the burnt copy through abgx, and guess what..the game data verification failed at 97%...guess we now know what went wrong and i can put that to rest )

as for the flag, i think i will continue as i am, i will RGH this one if i get banned eventually ..

Correct me if I am wrong, but since he hasnt been online since he failed the AP2.5 challenge, cant he just build a new NAND image or does this only work on Phat consoles?

Don't know what kind of burner your using i assume its a IHAS burner but if not you need to buy one of them an flash the CFW to it an use proper disc an you won't have any problems with games plus update to LT3.0 that reads the topology cause 2.0LT dose not

the thing is, i think i lost my usbpro..getting a new one will take a while (shipping and whatnot)..if there is a way to flash my 0225 without a USBpro i will be happy to flash it if you are willing to share

The best and easiest way to flash your drive is a usb pro, you are most likely gonna run into problems flashing via sata.

well, like i said..i have nothing better to do right now but to wait for the new one to arrive..so i will take my chances till it gets here cause i don't think i can wait that long..

ok, now i connected my drive directly to my sata port on PC, and jungle flasher can actually see it..

tried to get "slim key" but it failed (note that i already flashed my TX PCB with my right key last itme when i upgraded to 2.0 using usbpro)

so, i try vendor mode, and it loads fine..i do a "Read" and save my "OFW.bin" file which actually is the LT2.0 flashed with the right key..

now since i don't have my dummy.bin file on this PC and i can't get it (slim key isn't working) i used this "OFW.bin" to spoof then flash my drive with LT 3.0..

tried my xbox now, working great.just wanted to know something, is that safe (since i didn't use dummy.bin or actually get the key) ??..can i use the "OFW" which was flashed with the proper key to spoof like i did and still be safe??
