what do i do after i installed FB with jtag tool 2.85?

So i got my dvd key, and wrote FB to the clean nand and wrote it to my xbox. the xbox boots, but sends me to the xell screen where it fails alot of things and gives me an ip address and a couple of other things. Isnt it suppost to boot like normal? where did i go wrong?

Do you have your DVD drive connected?

yes, dvd drive with sata and power. Could it be im using a 6gbs wire versus the standard 3gbs? Also, i feel like there is a boot disk im missing or something. the jtag has alternate smc points and thats accounted for in jtag tool. KV checks out to my knowledge.

(keep in mind at this point ive put back on the clean original nand to start from scratch)
I first wrote xell to the nand. got my key and put it in the key spot
then i clicked create freeboot. When it came up in CMD, it said something about SMC cannot verify but continued to write fb to the clean nand i gave it. I then clicked write .bin and chose the fb file i just made. Once it was done writing, i booted the xbox up first without dvd drive and gave me the xell screen, then with the dvd drive, still xell screen. tried it again and the xbox went to e74 (it is a repaired falcon). SO, now its at the stage where xell is writen to the nand and it will boot to the nand screen without e74. Thats where i am at this point.

Try creating the FB image with the one at www.bestpig.fr instead.

ok here are my steps. i start with a clean nand. write xell. boot xell and turn off. Then, i create a freeboot with the clean nand image i used on the nand. I then write it to my xbox and use the eject button to boot without having the dvd drive attached. it comes up with free60 and fails to use optical drives and usb hubs and what have you. once its all done, it gives me my cpu key and my gpu key and at the very bottom it gives me an ip address. where do i go from there?

So why aren't you booting with the power button??? Booting from Eject goes into Xellous (which is what you're seeing)?

so far if i boot from powerbutton WITHOUT dvd drive it gives me e74. i know thats not actual e74 related because it can boot xell.

That's no deduction at all.

XeLL won't give you E74 if there's a fault with the console (well, not always). Do you get E74 when you flash the original NAND back?

ugh. ok with original nand back on, booting from both eject and power button, it gives me 3rrod

GPU related. I reflowed two consoles this week with this error code so either reflow or take/send to someone who can.

how could it be totally fine before the jtag. this makes no sense.

Check my threads for one about me simply removing my sons' GPU to replace it with one of the newer ones, and I got RRoD 0020 from it. I've since been able to reflow it so all good, but welcome to the world of the unstable 360!
