get familar with the x3 or x2 dash board read each and unstand what they do, install a dash board you would like to use..

backup your H/D to your PC then burn it then put it somewere safe
install a dash
set up bios to boot to that dash

so now i just find evox and burn it to a cd and then load it to my xbox?

get a download of auto installer delux 3 and use that to install the dash as well as apps it is the best i have used lots off goodes

will i be able to play microsoft games like halo 2 after i finally get the evox dashboard or whatever dash it gets for me?

yes you will be able to play all the games as well as ninteno / snes / sega / mame / n64 and a lot more you will trun your xbox in to a monster
if you get auto installer delux it will install the dash as well as apps like dvd2xbox used to put game on to your H/D as well as a lot more as well as apps theres emu as above

also on a different note i forgot to backup my hard drive, and i dont have the original ms dash what do i do to get that ms dash back? i appreciate your time and when i finally get my xbox modded ill up your rep. thanks

.......and one more thing the auto installer delux 3b is a torrent file, is it able to be downloaded into a cdrw? sorry i spead the questions out but i dont usually get back to the forums after a couple of days.thanks.

AID3 or slayer has a m/s dash you can use
AID3 will not flash x3 chip flashbios will only do that
AID3 is over 800mb so dvd-r

You don't " flash" with any auto installer. You flash bios. You install programs and dashboards with installer programs. Yes you can overwrite slayers with aid3.1. You will still have some of what you have installed with slayers unless you wipe your drive.
