What do I do first?

OK, I have my brother's XBOX 1.6a modded with X2.6CE.

Do I flash the X.26CE with just the bios first?

Or do I flash with an auto-installer program (Planning to use A.I.D.) first?

Ok, I am now going to replace the Retail HDD with a 160GD HD.

Do I have to reflash the BIOS? If I do, how do I reflash it then?

Right now, I have a plain X2.6 bios on it. I want a X2.6 >136GB bios on it.

you must flash a hacked bios to your chip
the X2.6 has 2 x 512K banks

you need to get the X2 5035 bios from the usual places and flash the v16plus version to your 1.6 box

use this tutorial to help you flashing your chip

www.teamxecuter.com/flashbios

do some reading over at xbox-scene on swapping hdds

I mean, I have it flashed already with a bios that works with the retail HDD a few days ago.

So I already see the AID disc when booting the XBOX.

I am just wondering, how do I reflash the bios, so it works with a 160GB HDD?

What BIOS(es) have you currently got on your chip?

ok - so apart from losing the FlashBIOS on bank 2 (means you flashed a 1MB BIOS to begin with), you're good to go. The BIOS you have will be fine for what you want it for.

Read the stickys/tutorials here and on Xbox-Scene for further guidance.

Now, when I have the 160GB HDD in, it just either roobts or freezes.

Now, I guess that the current BIOS isn't the right one.

Should I reflash it to Xecuter2 5032 v1.6 137 GB+ (with the retail HDD in)?

I have tried the "Swap w/EvoX" Idea. It doesn't work.

I just want to replace the normal X2.6Plus bios with X2.6Plus >137GB HDD, without buying more equipment.

Try both jumper settings on the HDD - you need a boot disk in order to do this as there's no software on there yet.

Try mine:

http://www.xbox-guru.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/files/unleashxbootcd.rar

extract and burn the ISO per the readme file.

Boot from it - if you're lucky, you'll get a blue menu screen.

Under Settings/Misc. you'll see an option to format. (Password 'Xbox').

Format all drives except G.

Copy via FTP your backed up C and E drive.

Thanks, for the help, but I figured it out a few hours after making my last post.

I burnt the media to a CD-R, and that's why it didn't work.

After I made the last post, I burnt my boot disk to a DVD-R, and it works like a charm.

[Even though the 160GB HDD isn't lockable, because it was originally an External HDD [USB2/IEEE1394].

Do I need the HDD locked for Xlinx-Kai?

As of now, I am booting from Evo-X.
I just go to XBMC as an app to play with media.
I have at least seven XBOX games and one SNES game on the HDD.
