ok so i discovered that it is the X2config.ini file that has the correct lines to tell the system where to find the Dash i want to use. but there are bo instructions i have found, that get specific....

i have edited the X2config.ini file so that it will look for the evoxdash.xbe first on the f:drive (where it is at currently)....(allow me to specify that all i did was right click and hit edit...i still dont know how this X2 bios manager would work for me and if i would need the programmer or not)

the edited X2config.ini file is currently on my PC in the same folder as the X2 5035 bin file.

i used the net flashing in Flashbios and grabbed the correct bin file from the same directory listed above on my PC.

Is this all that is neccessary? when the net flash takes place does it automatically grab the neccessary info from the X2config.ini file or do i actuallhave to put that file somewhere on my xbox.

please advise ASAP...im staying up till i fix this tonite!!

i found a thread that fills in some blanks but begets more questions: http://teamxecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24996&page=1&pp=10&highlight=LBA48

i figured out how to use evtool to correctly edit the X2config.ini (still dont know what to do with it after that) which i did...

regarding X2 bios manager...if Flashbios is pre-installed from factory, can i leave the first 2 boxes blank? If i already have "x2_5035_vOld_512k.bin" and can net flash it via Flashbios...what do i need the bios manager for???

some may say that i didnt search hard enough, but frankly this should have been in one of the main guides & its not...here is a very helpful fact that took me 2.5 days of research and questioning to find:

"the ini file you can configure yourself and THEN TRANSFER THE X2CONFIG.INI FILE OVER TO EITHER E: OR F: DRIVE"

it may have seemed obvious to most, but for someone who has only worked with X3's before, it was not obvious to me...i was under the incorrect assumption that the info from the ini file was being used during the Flashbios net transfer process.

BTW here is the thread i found it in:
