Nah, that's what you need the new unlocked PCB for. You can read a Winbond fine without unlocking, but to write LT3 back to it you have to unlock with a drill..or you use an unlocked PCB from TX I'd hang on to your old PCB just in case you need it for something, or want to try drilling it later for the fun of it.

read the jungle flasher guide mate it will tell you all you need to know if you do have a winbond i got the winbond unlock kit from karl at bga mods as i did not want to drill the chip with a dremel and it was a piece of cake have done about 15 not and not one has gone wrong
