Hi I have a slim 360 which had a chip put in but was not flashed pic 1 . I then bought these for flashing it pic 2, 3 and 4 . Question 1 can anyone tell me if I have the correct tools . Question 2 . Is it hard to do for someone like me who hasn't a clue . Question 3 is it possible for me to update the chip as it won't play latest games . Thanks for any help

I think u r getting confused. The equipment u have is for flashing the DVD drive to play backup games. The chip inside is a coolrunner for rgh. If u want to play latest games on the rgh u can update the dash over the network with j runner/ xebuild.

Hi . What I ment was I would like to have flashed the drive if it was easy with the kit I bought but I would settle for updating the dash but I'm not sure how to do it . I use FileZilla for sending games from PC to slim xbox. Thanks

Updating the dash is easy nowadays. There is a tut on this forum. I dont know why u would need to flash the drive when u can extract your games to your hdd. U do have the right equipment for flashing drives. What DVD drive model do u have.

The drive will need unlocking for u to read and write the firmware. Depending on your chip on your DVD PCB(winbond or mxic) there are 2 methods, Russian hack or kamikaze hack. All the info is in the forums, so I wud get reading if I was u.

It's not been flashed yet . I only had it chipped. If I figure out how to update the dash I will just leave the drive . I can open them easy but not to great with PC lol

I understand you may want to play games from your backup discs, but you can also install your games to the hard drive from their original discs by using the "DVD Extract" function in FSD.

Think I will do that . I used to call the guy who chipped it and he would talk me over the phone how to update it for £10 but can't find his number
