What do i need

I have the 360 with hitachi drive, was wondering what all im going to need to buy to get this flashed, please let me know, prices appreciated, and let me know if you need any more information.

Asper your previous thread and the PM you sent me I am now really concerned that you really don't know what your doing and that includes having a basic understanding of the PC.

Please take this advice do not flash your 360 try and get a person who knows what they are doing to do it for you.

Plus I have to advise you that flashing the drive is the easy part you would have to read the tutorial even more to learn how to back up your games which is another ball park compared to flashing.

I mean no disrespect here please get another person to do it or don't do it at all.

Well i agree with X5

But if you really want to flash it yourself heres what you will need

1)a desktop computer
2)Some computer hardware knowledge
3)A xbox 360(needs to be opened)
4)compatible sata chipset/card
5)a SATA cable
6)Slax 2
7)a bit of time
8)TEXTBOOKS TUTORIAL. Read it very carefully and watch the videos on how to flash your drive. Remember if you screw up, 360 mods is not responsible.

And you said you had a hitachi. Do you know the rom version. If its 0079 and up it cant be flashed.

If you dont know what some of the stuff on the list is.... Just give up and have someone else flash it.

Ok Bacon, thanks for helping, my ROM version is 0059DJ, iv alredy opened it up and i was down to about flashing it, i got the slax but i had no sata cable i believe so im going to have to purchase one, iv read the tutorial aswell, any information to were i find out what my chipset is?

you av onboard sata? you should be fine with that flashing a hitachi 59

mine was a cheapo mobo with intel chipset, an if ya really wanna find what chipset you av theres some progs on the net for free what will tell you everything about your pc set up cant remember what their called just do a google search

search for everrest free software download that will tell you what chipset you have its just come to me

Ok chipset, Intel P965/G965, i believ im reading that correct? if so am i good to flash?

im not sure its not in text tut but i would beleive so as all the intel chipsets that r listed are good to go

yup if ya dont av one your mobo is fine from what ive just red sata connections on board go buy ya cable an away ya go

OR can 1 be removed? i have an old gateway computer from like 2001 will there be any sata cables i can remove and use on that?

no no and no that p.c is just too old, check my previous post find what im telling you take off your case on the pc find your sata connections put the case back on shut down an go to bed the buy a sata cable first thing in the morning without that theres nothing more than dissasembling ya 360 that you can do

yep iv dissambled it before when i got to the part of the tut that sed i needed a sata cable!!! il ask my granny to buy me 1
