YOu don't nee the xlcd or pro switch, they are for show off

an x3 modchip and xapt3r should be good for you, but you have to make sure your xbox is 1.0-1.5, you need torx screw drives, and i suggest bigger hard drive.

Hey,
What you really want to do before you order anything is do some RESEARCH!

Go through the forums, read the sticky's.
Read all the tutorials.

Then when your done doing that here go to www.xbox-scene.com and do the same over there.

The choice is yours. You can do the reading, learn what your doing and have a trouble free modding experience. Or you can do nothing, make lots of mistakes and hose your xbox then come here and ask lots of stupid questions.

Sorry, don't mean to be rude. That's just the way it is!

i'll be echoing other posts here, but before you order a single item, read, read and read, it isnt just about putting in the modchip and away you go, you should research the following

* Soldering techniques if it's a 1.6 or 1.6b (Use a 15 Watt iron, or you'll most likely kill the xbox)
* Pre-mod preperations (Do you have everything you need?)
- Your xbox version number
- Correct bios
- Any software you might be installing (I'd suggest Slayers evo-x for first timers)
- The tools needed for soldering
- How to flash the bios
- How to troubleshoot errors (Fraggng, error 06 etc)
- General instructions on usage of x3's setup

Those are a bear minimum, without knowing these you most probably will get stuck somewhere along the line.
but as i've said, its important to know which xbox version you have, if it's a 1.6 or 1.6b xapt3r is useless to you.

MS Can Detect Which Region Game You Have??

So, I was in another forum and a very reliable uploader wrote this on one of his posts...

''Now it is recommended if you pick which rip according to where you are. Both are region free but some believe MS does check where your game comes from''

You think this is true? Surely a 'Region Free' game shouldn't matter?
