what does green/red flashing light mean

I just flashed my X3 on my v1.6 xbox and after the flash it reboots 2 times with a blue colored x and then the xbox flashes red/green. I have been http flashing the xbox and I can log in fine and the flash seems to go fine then I get that flashing and I cannot boot. Any ideas. I would imagion the chit is set up fine since I can boot the the version 3.0.1 flash bios program. the xbox work with the chip in disabled mode and works with the chip removed. Please help me out. oh yeah I have tried usine the bios version evox M8_16 and X3_1959.

Are you flashing with the 1.6 Versions? Should be: X3_1959_v16plus.bin

I'll give that version a try... I think the M8 version I used for for 1.6 and that still didn't work...

never tried M8... I just know if you dont use the correct one, it wont work Try the plus one, it should work with no problems. Usually FRAG after bios install = corrupt bios...

wow I feel dumb... I must have missed the 1.6 in the dl file. Sorry to bother with the question. But at least if someone else sees that flashing they can figure it out fome this. Thanks

Lots of people make the mistake - Hell... when I first got my chip installed, I flashed it with the flashbios like 10 times wondering why it wasnt updating from 3.01 to 3.03 It works and everything now?

yeah I though it was weird that it was actually going thorugh the precess of flashing then fragging out. man thats weird I missed that. I have read some much stuff on this fourm. Duh. oh well now I have to figure out how to install the dashboard stuff.

3 posibilities if you see flashing... im not sure of the correct color orientation however.. if you experiace the color cycle execute after booting the xbox in any mode.. one or maybe more of 3 can be the problem:

Xbox Frags due to:

1.) Corrupt Bios.. as Mentioned above
2.) Bad Solder - Accidental Bridged Solder Connection Point
3.) HDD is unlocked.. if switching between modes..

Correct me if im wrong but these are the typical reasons.. im not sure if there are any others.. however with concern to modding.. these are the commonalities.. ^_^.. we've all been through them...

press power and eject at the same time, it should goto the flashbios

ever since i installed the mod chip my x box turns on by itself when i plug it in. the power buttons dont do n e thing when i press them. so i cannot go to the backup bios.
