Do I need the 1.6 rebuild thingy as well as teh xapt3r?
I have a 1.6 xbox of course

you really dont need either. you can wire the X3 normally. its just a "cleaner" install using those two items you mentioned. although im not a fan of solderless.

how would that work with the PCB rebuild?

I would think you have to use the PCB rebuild and cant use the other solution - because you have to do the reconstruction/wiring of the LPC - the PCB Rebuild with Solder on the bottom of the mobo.

The XAPT3R will be backwards compatible with the X2.6 and will work perfectly on all v1.0 - v1.5 models of Xbox.

If you look at the last post about the Xpat3r then you would see that there is a special solderless adatpter coming out especially for the 1.6

yah I know theres a new 1.6 adapter but do I need the Xecuter 1.6 LPC Rebuild thing(the anodized purple wafer thing) or does the xapt3r do it all as one unit?

using the xapt3r for a 1.6 is stupid, since you will need to solder the pins for the rebuild anyway

no the current xapt3r is not completly solderless for 1.6 and read what people post damnit!! they're trying to tel you that the completly solderless adapter wil lbe coming out soon and the xapt3r is only soldereless with <1.6. the pcb "wafer" is used to do the rebuild and MUST be done untill the completly solderless 1.6 adapter comes out which will probably look pretty funky but hopefully not as bad as that "spider mod".

Sorry, let me rephrase what I really meant. I would like to get that new adapter by xecuter because it looks really nice. I don't mine soldering but I just wanted to know if I needed that LPC rebuild wafer as well before I slap on the adapter.

the new xapt3r should work fine because the wafer pcb is soldered in on the bottom of the mobo i think and wont interfere with the solderless xapt3r which is placed on the top of the board.

hi i thought i can play ssv1 backups online with LT as long as i have ripped with my 360 drive

is this true ?

because im sure C4eva said in IRCchat that you can use ssv1 with LT as long as they have been ripped with a 360 drive

possible but its unknown until the next ban wave. id patch them to ssv2 just incase. anyway 0800 drives rip to ssv2 anyway.

if your using a xbox drive like benq or samsung etc then you should be getting ssv2 already
