What is different in the dev kit CPU compared to the retail CPU?

Hi, I was wondering what is different in the dev kit CPU (compared to the retail CPU) that makes it run unassigned code?

As far as I know it is all in the software. hince why you can turn an RGH/Jtag into a devkit. It may have more ram though.

Quite the opposite.

Whether or not your console is a devkit or not is determined by the efuses of the CPU.

Thanks for the answer, I didn't think it would be software because that would mean you could make it a dev kit and wouldn't need the chip anymore

If u want a devkit u can still find them but rgloader for rgh/jtags is as close to a real Devkit u can get on a small budget
