it has recently become official that the new Xecuter DemoN will have dual nand support. I and im sure many others wonder what this means for us.
can someone explain the benefits, or just some info about it. :)

Just like what they said with a tiny bit more clarification.

Your NAND is stored in a little Hynix/Samsung chip on the board. (Not sure if M$ utilizes more than those two brands)

With Dual-Nand capabilities, you essentially get to have a JTAG/RGH and a retail console all in one.

You install your JTAG or RGH NAND onto one of them, be in the NAND chip stored on the DemoN or the one stored on the motherboard itself. The one that you don't use for the JTAG/RGH Nand is the one that gets the Retail NAND.

By doing this, you can then use a switch (Not sure what the DemoN is going to utilize...from TX, I wouldn't be surprised if you can think about it..and it switches to the nand you want) and select which NAND you want to play from. If you are wanting to utilize homebrew, switch to your JTAG/RGH Nand and play OFFLINE. (It is always recommended to put a different KV onto your JTAG/RGH Nand so you don't run the risk of compromising your Retail KV, although it is not necessary) When you get tired of playing on that one, you can flip the switch and power cycle the xbox and then connect to XBL and play retail games, etc. like a normal unmodified console does.

one thing to ponder on is how will the switch be located i do hope its a closed case option I know it sounds strange but with a 3 year old who likes to poke around my stuff having a box open isnt my option

I would imagine there is some external switch, unless they can build something that taps into the sync or even the eject button (more likely sync).

OR

(Really out of the ball park here) but something like dual-boot Windows. Three NANDS with one being the "main" that stores some GUI software code so when the XBOX boots it lets you choose (Select A for Retail Dash or B for FreeBOOT). However this would probably be impossible as there would need to be some sort of digital switch or something. This very unlikely but would be really cool.

To be honest, I am sure that TX will put a nice discreet ribbon connected switch that allows the user multiple options to mount the switch.

Trust me Tony, I have a 2 year old running around my house along with a 19 and 21 year old who I actually think are far worse as, "Ohhhhhhh shiny!!! What's this do if I push it!?"

Next thing you know, I'm back out in the shop reflashing something or rebuilding something...ya know.

Back on topic, I would be willing to bet that TX has already thought about the switch mounting issues that the Cygnos had, which to me, is rather mediocre at best. I would also be willing to bet that their solution for this is going to be one of the more, if not most, practical solutions for it that we've seen to date. I'm sure we're all going to be shocked when we get the full details, but for now, I suppose we shall wait to see and make speculations! :)

knowing tx and I wont swear but I have to (lol) Cygnos did try but as they say all good things come to those who wait. J-runner looks cool but i bet theres a few more adjustments before genral release we know TX are perfectionists which isn't a bad thing . Just have to hold our breaths and wait the worst thing is for a 42 year old I fill like a kid on Christmas eve waiting to unwrap his pressies lol

Since its not possible for them to detect a dual nand if you are running an unmodified one...I think you are very wrong.

Whats to ban? everything is legal unless you have other...intentions..? the nand wont have anything on it so that means its just like buying a used hard drive in a scene you put what you want on it and use it how ever you want.
