Hello,

I am debating modding my xbox I no longer use it for xbox live, my end goal would be to play games off a usb hard drive.
I currently have a 360 phat/Jasper/2.0.7371.0 dashboard/a lite-on drive shows A0A2 / 94350C

what would be the best solution for my given usage/hardware.

based on the reference:

it shows Jtag would be the best option, but then again it also isn't 100% given my current dashboard. I would like to have everything done with a minimal amount of hardware/soldering done( I can solder, just prefer to go the least invasive method )

Would I be better upgrading?
What is the best cost efficient solution assuming my xbox cannot be j-taged?

Dump the NAND and check the CB version.

If the console has CB version 6712 or 6723, you can JTAG it (this only requires two diodes and some wire or one QSB).

If the CB version is 6750 or higher, you can install a CR4.

Well you're in a good position. I'd try JTAG, if not, RGH1.
