What is the importance of soldering the trace back after making a trace cut on the MXIC to mod the xbox slim.
What will happen if the trace isn't made back again?
Thanks.

Based on the trace repair you need to do in order to fix lifted pads where you cut, I really wouldn't have expected it to work. Is it a clean cut or possible that it's making contact still?

It's a clean cut defintiely; cause it wouldn't disable right protect unless i made the cut.

Yes, the cut is always necessary. I was just checking it wasn't something silly like you were using a sputnik

I'm surprised it works, but I wouldn't rely on it!
As far as relying on it goes; I will wait till next dash update and see if it causes any issues. But so far everything is A-OK. :D

When i do them i just clean each side of the cut with the scratch brush and stick a strip of tinfoil (must be no wider than the trace) across with some good clear tape......

Had no probs so far....:)

then you can just pull off to flash again and then stick it back....

I solder a wire to each side of the cut and then solder them in the middle to join the circuit. Makes life and desoldering easier if ever required in future
