what is the simplest ?

Hi.


im a newbe and have just install x3ce in a xbox v.1.6.
Have read the sticy and wonder : shuld i use a dvd with the bios (X3 3108 v16plus )burned to ,or shuld i connect a wire between xbox and rooter.What prog. shall i use then ? FlashFXP ?
What is the simplest to do ? dvd ?

FlashFXP is the best FTP program cause I use it for FTPing. It cost money but there a way to get around that but i'm not going to discuss it. Direct PC - Xbox is the best method. But you can still use the PC - Router - Xbox.

Yeah FlashFXP is, in my oppinion the best FTP program...and pay the little amount of money to the guy that designed the friggin program... cheapskate!! (yes you Kurai Komo)


Tea.... you can't FTP to Flash your chip the first time, you need to either use the disc as you said, or you can HTTP using windows explorer. After the initial Flash, you can then FTP into your xbox.

If youhave a DVD burner use DVD-R media to burn your disc, if not then use CD-RW media to burn the disc. Follow the tut's and you'll go fine. If you choose to HTTP that method is quite simple also. Both ways have pros and cons, and so my advice is just go with your gut as to which you'd prefer. They both work in the end!

Rookio, You Know whats fuuny, I thought I had one of those magic Xboxes that read all media but it will not read DVD-R. It reads dvd+/-rw, cd-r, cd+/-rw but no dvd-r strange aye mate?

Ha Ha, close but no cigar.... it's still a good thing to have though.
