Because I was wondering if it was the cause of why the Xbox isn't turning on. What is the trace that needs to be damaged in order to do this repair?I think someone tried to RGH it and broke that trace, resulting in that 'fix'.
Why do you want to remove it?
In all honesty, it doesn't look like any resistors are ruined or the trace has been burnt. It actually looks normal. The picture may show otherwise, but it's super blurry and near my window.I can't be 100% sure, but it also looks like STBY_CLK has been damaged.
Post a photo of the area near the HANA chip please.
If I were to check voltages, where should I start first? Please don't say to bring it to a professional because if I don't do it I will never learn. I'd rather learn from my mistakes than not learn at all. That wire has nothing to do with it not turning on.
Buying faulty boards is a risky business. Please bear in mind this is a product support forum.
does it power on at all? even a red light with everthing connected? If I were to check voltages, where should I start first? Please don't say to bring it to a professional because if I don't do it I will never learn. I'd rather learn from my mistakes than not learn at all.
I will be able to test tomorrow. He said he flashed a stock NAND on there before he shipped to me and I cleaned some solder points from when it had a demon on it.does it power on at all? even a red light with everthing connected?
That's all well and good, but we're not here to teach you. As I said, this is a product support forum. If I were to check voltages, where should I start first? Please don't say to bring it to a professional because if I don't do it I will never learn. I'd rather learn from my mistakes than not learn at all.
