I don't know if google hates me, but no matter how many times I click the search button, I don't find anything on these, or portion thereof:

* Keygen 1 (1.0.0 – 2.3.0) – master_key_00
* Keygen 2 (3.0.0) – master_key_01
* Keygen 3 (3.0.1 – 3.0.2) – master_key_02
* Keygen 4 (4.0.0 – 4.1.0) – master_key_03
* Keygen 5 (5.0.0 – 5.1.0) – master_key_04
* Keygen 6 (6.0.0 – 6.1.0) – master_key_05
* Keygen 7 (6.2.0) – master_key_06
* Keygen 8 (7.0.0 – 8.0.0) – master_key_07

If someone could lend me a hand with a URL or better search term for whatever that is, that can result with me finding it, I would be grateful.
Thanks in advance.

Well first and foremost I highly suggest staying away from Google searches. I prefer DuckDuckGo or StartPage.

As far as the keys are concerned, what information are you looking for exactly?

if you're trying to get keys / dump keys you have to do it yourself, no ones console keys are the same.

use a tool like LockPick RCM to get those

Really, I am trying to understand what they are in order to get whatever they are and get my own keys (I think that is the purpose). But, that is where my knowledge ends and I don't have the appropriate knowledge or know-how to progress any further.

@RSJon : I am not looking for anyone else's keys. I don't intend to pirate anything, which I think is what using other peoples keys would be (I could be wrong in that, so just in case, I am not trying to offend with this statement.)

@NexNus : Is Lockpick the same thing as "Keygen 8 (7.0.0 – 8.0.0) – master_key_07" ? I have Lockpick, and tried using it, didn't seem to work, and I am told to use this master key thing.

Thank you all for the help so far.

lockpick dumps all your keys

the keys you are looking for will be in the prod.keys file that it will create, then just rename prod.keys to prod.txt and you will be able to read them on a txt file.

keys can't be used to pirate, they are used to access partitions and other such things related purely to your switch, so anyone elses keys would be useless.

I will try that.

Does anyone know what "Keygen 8 (7.0.0 – 8.0.0) – master_key_07" is? Or how to find it?
"Keygen 8 (7.0.0 – 8.0.0)" is not what you should be looking for

master_key_(number) is what you need for whatever it is you are doing

keygen 8 (7.0.0 – 8.0.0) is probably a notiation for, Key X (used for software made for Versions Y.0.0 - Z.0.0)

master_key_07 you will be able to find in the prod.keys if you turn it into txt, I just did it not 2 minutes ago for my own switch.

what are you doing that requires these keys? what guide are you using?

I no longer have a nintendo account attached to my switch. So, any free updates/DLC to the games I own, I must download from another source.
My understanding is, that the free updates/DLC now require my game key to be attached to it some how.
The non-nintendo update provider shows "Keygen 8 (7.0.0 – 8.0.0) – master_key_07" as a requirement, and I have no idea how to use, find, or create that specific thing. When I asked, I was provided the same thing again "Keygen 8 (7.0.0 – 8.0.0) – master_key_07" as an answer. After searching for some time, I turned here to see if I can fair any better.

FYI for anyone that may not know: If you plan on deleting your Nintendo Account, be sure to turn off wifi and change DNS or clear connections prior to deleting the account, for if not, all of your digital media will become inactive.

so yea, ignore everything that comes before the master_key_(number) as that is just a notation for Key X (used for software made for Versions Y.0.0 - Z.0.0)

rename prod.keys to prod.txt and then open in notepad, do a search for your master_key_(number) and then copy the big line of letters and numbers next to it

it will look something like this
master_key_07 = 111222333444555666aaa44111454bbb (I made this one up)

"Download them from another source" and "The non-nintendo update provider" means piracy and we can't support it here.

You seem to be in over your head. You don't need to dump your keys to install anything. These master keys are included in system updates. Your console holds the keys to decrypt the encrypted game data. This is why you might see the message "A system update is required to play this software"

If you see this message you are trying to play something encrypted for a higher firmware. Dumping your keys will be a waste of time. Just update if you don't have the key.

If that means piracy, then is everything I am doing with SXOS piracy? I am trying to avoid that, but from your reply, it seems as soon as I deleted my nintendo account, all of my digital purchases became pirated software? Or that even if I had my account, if using SXOS to load and play my purchased games, considering it circumvents the Nintendo Account, I am somehow on a gray pirate line?

In the USA, backups/roms of your own purchased games, are not piracy, as the game was purchased and is owned. An update to that game, that does not require another purchase, is part of the original purchase for that game. So this should not be piracy. But, since you are an admin, if it is, I will delete my post to not cause any problems on this site.

From past nintendo account experience, the message, "A system update is required to play this software" can show or not show for individual games even when the system has updated. For instance, system update requirement did not stop me from playing any of my carts or the digitals like Snake Pass. However, it did stop me from playing Fornite.

As for updating the system... I can not perform that function. Once you delete the Nintendo Account, you cannot perform any online functions with the switch. I purchased SXOS specifically because I wanted to delete my Nintendo account and retain the digital games that I purchased and backed up with SXOS. If a free update fixing a problem to a game paid for is available, I would like to have the update, without having a nintendo account. (If I knew prior to purchasing Digital games that you get screwed over by nintendo, I would not have purchased any digital games, but as I did, and they don't want to refund me, I don't want to lose the money I spent either.)

I know I am a bit over my head. That is why I am hoping to get some assistance.

You are wasting your time looking for keys. I told you what the message means on the illegal rom site you're clearly on. Some games require a linked account so that wasn't a good ideaeither. System updates occur with or without an account. Even if you are banned. When you see update nag for individual games, it's clearly prompting you to update the game, not the firmware. Still don't need keys for that. They are on the console, they decrypt and re-encrypt the content right on the Switch.

We are not your parents. We don't control what you do outside of this site. SX OS is not piracy, it's used to play your own legally owned backups. When my games need updating here's what I do:

Boot OFW on my clean sysNAND

Insert my game or launch my eshop title

Update the game

Then I use Hekate to make a quick emuNAND on a different SD card

Boot new temp emuNAND

Dump my updates to the SD card

Delete temp emuNAND

Save my update NSPs

At no point did I download someone else's backup from some sketchy rom site. Not only is it still piracy because it was someone else's game being shared, but it's also incredibly reckless. You never know what you are installing when you find it on the web.

Not trying to be a jerk to you but this is the most important rule we have, and I'm a little annoyed that @NexNus has wasted much of your time on this wild goose chase looking for keys you do not need. Unless you're making a forwarder or using something like NSCB, you do not need to waste the time.

I want to address something first, as cordial as possible, and that is that I in no way am here to argue, accuse, or otherwise show contempt to anyone on this site, whether staff or 'customer'. I understand you are not trying to be a jerk, and I believe what you wrote. However, it is somewhat off putting for you to believe someone has wasted their time on me without asking me if that is indeed the case for me. In no way do I feel that @NexNus (or any other's response) has wasted his time on me. I even thanked him/them for his/their responses on a subject I clearly do not know enough about. And indeed, his responses have been helpful to me, just as the other posts on this thread have helped me, because it helps me understand something I know very little about.

I have no problem in admitting my ignorance on the matter, and have clearly indicated within my posts that I am indeed ignorant on this issue (the issue of keys at least and the requirement for the keygen named thing). Being as your latest post seems a bit hostile, in written form at least, I am left to imagine the perceived hostility is from the location I get my updates from, and not the action of requesting for help. And I would like to clear something up with that if possible: That is, I am not downloading "games" at all from any site, which is currently a jurisdictional gray area within the USA, for owned games, nor 'games' I do not own, but rather updates to the games I own, which do not fall under the categories of backups or ROMS. Finally, my request for help is not for anything other than understanding what the requirement for "Keygen 8 (7.0.0 – 8.0.0) – master_key_07 [etc.]" is. Why you are assuming illegal/illicit actions by me, more than what my actual request is for, even after I stated there are none, I do not fully understand.

This has been an important (factual) detail for me once I deleted my Nintendo account: That is, once you do that, your Switch gets nothing, at all, from online. That includes, from my experience, system updates. I know this to be true, because when I deleted my Nintendo account some time ago, there was a system update (9.1 I believe) that would load itself onto my Switch while I had the account active AND existing. Removing the update with the power+volume combination results in it downloading anew when connecting to the internet and having an account. It does not, however, occur when you delete your Nintendo account. It doesn't even let your system go online without first making an account, ie. it blocked connectivity. It even stops displaying your game hours played on your system. Once I found that SX Pro was compatible with that update, and since I was still within the account deletion grace period, I reinstated my account, and installed that update, along with any other game updates available at that time. After doing so, I again deleted my Nintendo account, and have since past the account deletion grace period, ie. I can no longer reactivate that account, and any of my digitally purchased games, would deactivate and become unplayable UNLESS I use SXOS. This is not assumption. This is factual experience: That account deletion was not treated the same as account banning. With account banning, the account still exists.

System updates do spawn some games to nag update requirements. For instance, Fortnite performed the update nag for itself. This is the quickest game that comes to mind. Give it a try, if things have not changed much, it should respond the same way.

With all that has been said, this statement by you, "SX OS is not piracy, it's used to play your own legally owned backups."..., I take to heart, and truly believe that to be the case. Which is why I purchased it.

But, since you bring up alleged illicit sites and what they do, please understand that the DMCA's wording (as written) can be interpreted to include ANY program, device, or site that circumvents a copyright owners software/system/protections/etc. which SXOS by wording alone does, since SXOS allows you to 'legally backed up games', and play those legally backed up games even when no copyright owner subscriber account exists. (At least within the USA.) The great thing about the DMCA is that it is always changing, and currently, its wording is not enforced for backups (or updates), in part because none of the sought after information has any of it's protections circumvented, which is a requirement.

I apologize to all within this thread request for help understanding something I could not understand on my own. It has not been my intention to get any of you in trouble for your help within, or outside of, this site. I am sincerely sorry for causing any of you any hardship for my having done so.

First and foremost, you have not received any warnings, and I don't expect an apology from you. Explaining what is and isn't piracy was a courtesy and the top priority based on the line of questioning.

This is surely the place for people to learn, no matter what understanding they have on the matter. I applaud you for reaching out to learn since, otherwise how would you know?

Game updates are subject to the same copyright laws, so it does not matter where you get them. It is still copyrighted software that you must own the licensing to use. When you purchase a software, you don't actually own the software, but a license to use it. You are free to make a backup of your legally obtained software to your heart's content, as long as you are not sharing it, or downloading it from ANY place that is not Nintendo's CDN (Content Delivery Network). This includes the base game, update, or DLC. I'm also not here to argue any of that because I am not a lawyer.

Forgive me if I seemed to have a sense of hostility but it was not my intention to be hostile in any way. I want you to get the help you need. I want you to get the precise help you need and lead you in the right direction, not the wrong direction (like dumping your keys which isn't necessary for what you are trying to do). As a staff member here I have the responsibility of keeping people on the right track, and to hear things like:
master_key_(number) is what you need for whatever it is you are doing
is extremely disappointing as someone who provides support for thousands of people. No one should be giving advice before we know exactly what you are doing and why. That's how mistakes are made. That is how consoles get bricked. Don't get me wrong, dumping your keys is not necessarily a brick risk unless you are aimlessly poking around on a mounted sysNAND. But in order to offer ANY level of support, we need to get a clear picture of the issue. It's critical.

System updates do spawn some games to nag update requirements. For instance, Fortnite performed the update nag for itself. This is the quickest game that comes to mind. Give it a try, if things have not changed much, it should respond the same way.
I understand this, as mentioned above. System updates do indeed prompt an update on many games. After an update has been around for so long, it gets hard coded into the system update, to spawn said nag when you open up the software.

This has been an important (factual) detail for me once I deleted my Nintendo account: That is, once you do that, your Switch gets nothing, at all, from online. That includes, from my experience, system updates.
I can't say I have removed an active account, but I can say that if you do not create an account at all, you can still receive system updates. The system updates come from a separate connection than that of game updates, hence why even when banned you can still receive them. Perhaps I'm not qualified to really speak to that at all since your situation differs from my own.

I hope you can understand where I am coming from, @Tainted. I don't want you to feel like you can't ask any question you want because you can. As long as you are within our guidelines, I would MUCH rather you ask before you act. If there is ANYTHING else you would like for me to clear the air on, I am pleased to help :D

I originally was thinking they were trying to grab data from their dumped nand, which is something that I've done.
I did ask more about what they were doing and it didn't sound like it would brick their system, nor did it sound like piracy. I've never had to do what they are doing to get updates for games on switch, but I've also never detatched my nin account from my sysnand, and I know that back in the 3DS days, if you had region free hacked your system, you could play legal foreign games but you had to remotely download update files (directly from Nintendo's CDN) for them because you had to connect to specfic region Eshop, and the 3DS would only connect you to the Eshop of the same region of your console. I figured this might be something simmilar as they had disconnected their account and might not be able to get game updates due to that.

Currently my Switch is 9.0.1 :

So... because of your statements, @Alchemy.Gaming, I turned on my Switch's wifi, and as soon as I did so, my switch deactivated the account that it believed was active throughout this time. All of my digital purchases are again no longer accessible. That includes purchased DLC for my Physical Full Cart (PFC) Breath of the Wild. That is, I can play the BotW game, as it is a cartridge, but all of the BotW DLC I paid for, and previously could play, are no longer accessible.

Any attempt to play any of my purchased digital content, like The Flame in the Flood, results with a pop up stating, "This Nintendo Account has been deleted. This user cannot use online features."

After that pop up, it performs, "Checking if the software can be played...", and then a popup stating, "A system update is required to check whether this software is usable." After that point, I do get the System Update ready request, even though the account is deactivated, as you stated, along with the "Start Software" option. Chosing the start software option results with repeating the above same sequence.

I am able to delete the update, or whatever update marker / flag gets embedded within the Switch, with the Power + Minus Volume button start up. But the 'deactivated account' status remains.

Since this is a new occurrence/condition for me, System Update flagging with a deactivated account, I will check to see if my Digital Download Only (DDO) content can still be played with an SX OS boot up, in the way it did when I first tried the account deletion.

I believe I have SX OS 2.9.#, I didn't see a need to update it as I did not need to update my Switch, but am now curious to see if the deactivated account flag would remove itself from whatever Nintendo System Update is currently available, as I did purchase (and thus have 'license' for them by those purchases) the DDO games and DLCs, and I feel it would suck to not be able to play any of them.

So... Is the current Switch System Update subject to the latest SX OS version? If it is subject to the latest SX OS version, then I will try updating all of my games, with a deactivated account, so we can all be clear on where Nintendo Account deactivation currently stands. I don't mind going through all this if learning something can be achieved.

Small update: I can still play my DDO backups. However, I now have to 'reinstall' or go through the motions of a game reinstall within SX OS, in order for my games / backups to play on the SX OS CFW.
