Note: This chip is compatible with all XBox consoles from v1.0 to v1.3 .
An old one apparently.

Wow, I must be slow.

Woah! That’s the first chip I used back in my old (and dead) v1.0 Xbox.

We’ve come a long way baby! :)

i purchased this:
http://www.modchipman.com/product_info.php?products_id=166
(Xecuter 3 SE)
and it looks so sexy! very nice chip, and the reviews here for this dealer were decent. (yes, i read the forums first!) i can't wait to install it. these forums look good for help, but i think i can handle it as all the tutorials and documentation i need are linked to right from the front page of this site.

team xecuter deffinately looks like they have the top products and all of their sh*t together! i will hopefully be proven this when my chip arrives.

a good friend of mine here in town has an xecuter3 in his box and i got a chance to play with it. his box was op as he was upgrading the hdd so i got to look over his install, he did the pinheader and it was an ancient xbox, v1.0 i believe, with solder-filled LPC. mine is a 1.4, i already opened it to look so i knew weather i would have to worry about the v1.6/bios/LPC rebuild. but i wont. looks that installation will be a breeze. i'm very good at soldering these tiny points. hell, i even have a small software collection of all the apps i need! once the xhip is running. and i also see they already have a software update for this chip! impressive indeed!

sorry for the long post!

a fake xecuter 1 ;)
I'm really glad you said that. I was contemplating getting one for the hell of it. Whew. You just saved me 60 bucks, and no to mention embarrassment.

That chip is also under the PS2 section, it appears. Look at the top. It says, "Home:pS2". ???

i looked into that site and it seems to be inactive. i wouldn't order from them!!!
i regret posting it here now! so DO NOT ORDER ONE FROM THERE! i was just searching fro modchips at google and it dug up some of the worst of the internet.

ah, admin, if you read this, your upload avatar script seems to be broken, i get this error output when i try to upload a custom avatar:

Warning: move_uploaded_file(): SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 510 is not allowed to access /tmp owned by uid 0 in /includes/functions_upload.php on line 74

the avatar necer shows up. when i try to use a URL it doesn't give error output, but never uses the avatar.

Why anyone would buy a really old chip like that, fake or not... even for posterity reasons... is beyond me.

It's sorta like buying a 16MB hard drive for the price of a 160GB just so you could say you have one.

Some people value things differently, I guess. It's also like buying old cars for twice the price of new ones. If someone wants something to collect, they will spend the money on it.
