i have a falcon power socket, falcon heatsink.
but the mobo is clearly a zephyr from the thread what mobo do i have etc...
it has the 3 coils instead of 2 like the falcon.
it has had a rrod repair so that could explain the falcon heatsink but the power socket too?
this is confusing. not to mention it rrod'd immediately after a clean CR install. i will check all soldering tomorrow again

k, its a zephyr. forgot 360 flash tool lol. it told me immediately. soldering was perfect, as i thought. heres the kicker: i had done my slim just a few weeks ago. I FORGOT TO DRAG the NEW .ecc file into the nandpro30 file. lmao, i was writing an ecc built for a dif nand and mobo altogether haha. copy and paste, reflash .ecc, boots xell in like 3 seconds. got fsd running and it consistently boots within 5 seconds. WAAAAY more consistent than my slim. i knew my soldering wasnt bad. figured i would share my mistakes and hope others get a laugh too. thanks all

btw, according to the power connector it IS indeed a falcon. the heatsinks are clearly falcon too. im thinking when whoever repaired it did it, they swapped a few things around.

someone might have snapped the plastic pin from the centre of the socket so they use the falcon PSU with it
not hard to do, i've seen it happen before too

Your not alone, I had a zepher I could of swore was a falcon, was just about to post yet another omg it doesn't boot xell thread when I too remembered 360 flash tool. Needless to say I gave my self a big ol face palm and got it working.
Glad you got it sorted :)
