What about all the customers who bought a x3/x2.6 and had big problems? I know there are a lot of them!

I myself have modded about 20 xbox's with x3 and 30 with x2.6

X3
2 of the chips had foult:
1 problem with switch panel (had to desolder short on backside)
1 unknown problem with switch (dip-switch 1 had no function)

X2.6
4 of the chips had foult:
3 problems with switch panel (with no connect or shortcutted switches)
1 where the switch cable had a fault. To wires where crossconnectet. Had to cut them and connect them the right way.

This shows there is a lot of problems with the xecuter chips, or to be more correct; the switchpanels..

hey im in that news post! :p

i've installed 1047 now, havent had a single problem so far, with any of the installs and none of the clients have contacted me for anything other than "hey can i bring it in for a bios update?", or "hey can you stick a bigger hard drive in?"

i've had ONE incident where i had to purchase a replacement switch panel for an X3, and that was because the clients son (about 6yr old), pulled it off.

as for this threads title...
THEY ARE GENUINE QUOTES FROM GENUINE USERS, so how in f**kS NAME is it bullshit?

urguz1, i'll give you the benefit of the doubt that your not here to just stir up sh*t on behalf of another team (I notice this is your first post).

I personally have sold a sh*tload of Xecuter products into the Australian market and I am absolutely amazed with the tiny number of faults my customers have experianced.

If your reports are genuine then I am sure it is an isolated incident judging by my own experiances which I estimate to be approximately 0.1-0.2% failure rate. I for one have only sold one switch panel which was faulty.

I am sure if your purchases have been made thru an official Xecuter store then you should experiance no difficulty having the problems rectified.

Having had experiance distributing a range of modchips as well as personally being involved in production of such devices I am confident to say that Xecuter are as good quality as you could possibly get.

Xecuter rocks, but, to say it is without errors is not true, but then again, who put usercomplaints on the frontpage? :)

My X3 was dead when I got it (short between 3.3V and gnd), and it killed my xbox, but it's resurected now... (6 other X3 installs without problems)

Another question is the customer support witch is less than expected (by me) when things don't go as smooth as the exelent tutorials say they shuld. :?

theres a guy who's chipped more than 1000 without a problem and you apparently have chipped 50 with 6 faulty chips or parts of the chips

whats the likelyhood of that aspecially if you bought it from an official reseller

SchOX, good to hear your recent Xecuter experiances have been good.

I am sure that your feedback on customer support would be valuable, as you can imagine it is difficult to service all enquires with such a massive customer base with a broad range of competance levels in installing such devices (all aspects of install from soldering/networking/software etc).

Your right, Xecuter rox!

I bought 1 and had 1 faulty.

Had to resolder the front panel dips as half of them didn't work.
But I still like it.

Did team X implement a noob sensor on the chip ?

Wow - all these problems. Who'd have thunk it?
As with all FRAG issues reported here - while most people come in here and blame the X3, after some troubleshooting (with the knowledgable help of forum users) it turns out to be a fault with the install.

First time posters ARE more likely to have a problem - which is why they have registered ... to ask the question. I'll be charitable, and give the benefit of the doubt, but put this one down to someone stirring up trouble.

I chose the X3 chip when I modded my own box. Since I have now modded over 100 and NO problems. In fact the only problem I have experienced was on my own mod... and that was a bad soldering job. The tutorials that Team Xecuter provide are great.. ieasy to follow and right on the money.

For all of my modding needs it will be Team Xecuter... I have seen the others and to me they just do not compare.

I have used 2.3 solderles, 2.6 solderless and 2.6 soldered!
I have had problems yes but not due to faulty chips or switches!

The problems were installation issues!
I have done alot of solder jobs now and never had 1 problem.
Oh sorry yes I did! my iron didnt heat up quick enough on 1 occasion!

Guys with problems, you should try and sit back and look at the whole job!
The problems u have are more likely to do with the installation.
Not soldered correctly, solderless install incorrect D0 etc.

Make sure you follow the guides!
I will admit that even though I could do this with my eyes shut, I still like to view the tutorials whilst modding a box!

Why dont the noobs do their homework!
research and when you have finished researching, research again cause i promise you will have missed something!

I still ask questions on this board but not until I have searched and searched and searched for the answer first!

Well done Xecuter Team! You are the Dogs Danglies!
Keep it up!

I have installed 3 Xecuter 3 and unlike the xecuters 2.3 (which I had some problem with a few of them) the Xecuter 3 installed every time perfectly with zero flaws, and it usually toke me only 10-20 minutes to install. Xecuter in deeds rox

I have installed 67 X3's, only one was faulty, but compared to the 16 (brand new) Xbox Crystals I bought with one dead console among it, the ratio looks good for X3 so far 8)

No matter what you will always hear the bad news mostly around here because its not like anyone cares if you successfully installed you chip right. Not much of a lifetime achievment. And mpost peoples first thing to do is blame the chip even though 90% of the time it is bad soldering job and maybe .001% of all chips made is faulty chip..

the X3 chip and bios are wonderful. The price was great! Install was easy. Help/Support is great and the install tutorials are nice. The front plate with the DIP switches is cheap k-mart trash. i can tell they didnt put any time into trying to make it look half way cool or even work that well.

i can't bitch too much about anything other than that.

Why dont we just say xecuter are gods in the xbox realm and be done with it but also say that god also make mistakes (very uncomon ones) so if a chip doesnt work or there is a problem send it back quite simple really. :D
