What PCB board do you recommend?

So I failed a Kamikaze attempt, and I was looking online for a replacement board.
To my surprise there are quite a few. I first noticed I could get a 3rd party for 25ish, but we all know those can be sh*t.
Then I have a few different options with TX, then lastly the freedom board.
I was just wanting to hear your thoughts on the matter.

****** Freedom Unlocked Replacement PCB DG-16D4S 54.95
Xecuter Liteon DG-16D4S - Unlocked Replacement PCB 39.95
Xecuter Liteon DG-16D4S - Unlocked Replacement PCB 1.1 version 49.95
Liteon DG-16D4S - ORIGINAL Replacement PCB for any Slim Drive Unlocked 49.95
****** Freedom LITE Unlocked Replacement PCB DG-16D4S 37.45

I also see a few others, but not worth bring up.
Looking like the 1.1 in my opinion.

lol.. why would you ask about freedom and other PCBs on the TX support forum ?

I have used freedom in the past but now I use TX .. freedom and the other so called unlocked PCBs can not compare to D4S, LTU or LTU2 PCBs

Its just general advice. I've never needed one so it never hurts to ask, despite brand name. Besides from my understanding a lot of these leading modding company's work with each other behind the scenes anyway. (I can even quote this from a few of the leading members on this exact forums) So why not us?

So if you no longer use freedoms what makes the TX not compare? I myself was leaning to the 1.1 (I take thats a ltu model you talked about)
I put this in the noob section for a reason also lol

Apart from the LTU firmware, and the switch being on the outside for locking. I mean do those features make this board that much better? This is the leading Xecuter board correct?

"The team Xecuter Lite-On DG-16D5S unlocked PCB LTU2 is finally here, these boards are used if you wish to run the LT Ultimate firmware on an 1175 or 1532 Lite-On DG-16D5S drive. Note these boards will also function in the Lite-On DG-16D4S drives as well but you still need files from the consoles nand to compile a LTU firmware image to flash to them. If you are buying these TX LTU2 boards for a 5S drive then you need to know it’s not possible to get the DVD key from the drive itself, the only way to get the key to use with these replacement PCB is to do an RGH key retrieval, it’s not possible to use flashing tools to get the key like it is with the 4S drives. So if you are ordering one of these for a Lite-On DG-16D5S drive you need to know it can only be used once you have got your key using RGH along with a couple of other files. For people buying these boards to use on a Lite-On DG-16D4S you will still need to do the RGH to get files required to compile a LTU firmware, while you can get the key from the drive without RGH to compile a working LTU firmware there are other files required which can only be extracted from the motherboard's nand dump."

So wait, this is the first I've read about having to have a RGH console to run LTU. Is that true? Can someone direct me to a post about this?
I dont have a console with RGH, so avoid the LTU boards?

My bad, google helped me find more info.
But for anyone who wants to put a few cents in I have a DG-16d4s drive thats been updated. I also have the keys.

Update: After google has now rapped my eyes I think I get the jist.
The LTU board is the way to go it sounds. I only needed to RGH if I had a dg-12d5s drive.

I'm guessing this is the newest PCB board for TX relating to my drive DG16d4s?

Guess im still lost on the LTU, I've read several conflicting storys.
I keep coming back to this one in posts,

I could use a helping hand at this point.

So if I buy the Ltu2 I need information only obtainable from doing RGH?
This is what I'm reading mixed story's on and not sure what my next step is to take because from what I've read the LTU 2.0 is the BEST one.
If I cant get LTU (because I don't wanna do the RGH) is this board my best bet?

I also understand this is just the version before the 2.0, But what makes LTU so special?

You have four options for a D4S drive:

1. Unlock your PCB
2. Get an Unlocked D4S PCB
3. Get an LTU PCB (RGH is required)
4. Replace the IC with an MT1339 IC + External SPI

The PCB you posted a link for is perfect!

YOUR THE MAN BL4K3Y! That RGH thing had me hung up.
Alright well I'll get that one I was referring to.
So if you dont mind me asking why do these boards use LTU instead of the normal firmware?
Typing in LTU in search brings up ziltch. :(

I think LTU reverses the FCRT algorithm and it is compatible with D4S, D5S and slim Hitachi drives.

I don't know the technical details, but c4eva certainly made lots of users very happy when he released LTU :)!

Team Xecuter certified seller, Modchipcentral a bit fishy?

I go to buy that board last night, and they email me an invoice. My understanding is they want me to Email them my credit card info.
Am I the only one who thinks "nope" to that situation? Seems thats basic 101 on things not to do online, I much prefer a secured option when paying for something.
