Hi,
I put a little too much conductive glue on the traces on my liteon pcb, and was wondering what I can clean it off with, would nail varnish remover and a cotton bud work?

thank you

I've been told to scrape it off with a scalpel, isn't that really risky and could damage it?

thanks

Just do what daleh43 said. Nail varnish or alcohol rub will do. If your going to use a knife you'll have to be good. There are other techniques to using the knife but I wouldn't reccomend them at this stage.

Right, I just cleaned it and put a tiny tiny bit of glue on both traces and it looks much better, let it dry for 20 minutes and same thing, xbox wont boot, dvd drive makes loud noise.
do I need to put less or more?

I have now cleaned nearly all of it off so you can hardly see it, plugged it all in, xbox boots fine but drive wont eject, so I cleaned more off and used a scalpel to go around the edges where it looks like it's shorting, I'm about to plug it all back in now, I'll let you know how it goes.

listen mate youre getting help in the original thread so why create a new thread in the xecuter 3 forum? makes no sense at all.
I'm not getting help, I created a thread saying that my dvd drive wont eject and it got deleted.
Anyway, I've now reglued, cleaned, done it again about 20 times and it's not working, even though it looks fine (I will take a picture now)
It either: xbox boots up fine, dvd drive won't eject OR xbox doesn't boot, dvd drive ejects after 3 or so pushes of eject button.

I guess you need to see a picture really but I've done it about 20 times

wont the tape damage the pcb? e.g. rip the paint off?

EDIT: I'm going to a friend's house until monday and I'm just gonna leave it for now, it's stressing me out too much, everything is a hassle. thanks for the help and I'll post a picture on monday or tuesday
