i have a xecuter 3CE with a solderless adapter for my version 1.6b. I have installed that chip and am looking at the flashbios screen. i have downloaded the bios from xbins and was wondering how to get it on my box. I have opened it whith winrar and have the bios for version 1.6.

How do i get the bios to the chip.

i have looked there and came across a problem. when i try to load bios from a disc everything seems to work fine but then it gets th the third pic on that guide and just list the label of the disc. doesnt say anything about halting or anything like that. when i read the guide it said that the bank swithched had to be at the on on off off off position and the chip had to be set to the unprotected. my chip will not boot if it is on the on on off off off setting. it has to be set to off on off off off. is this ok, and how do i fix my original problem of only seeing the label of my disc. THANK YOU.

boot xbox with switch set to off on off off off then without turning off xbox change the switch to on on off off off then flash your chip
have you renamed bios to bios.bin
are you burning it to a cd-rw or dvd-r
burn it at a slow speed x2 max
do a http flash lot easyer

i aslo tried that. I switched it to on on off off off at the main flashbios screen. Does that matter or do i have to switch it at a scertain time. Nothing seems to work. I named it BIOS in the Icon view. so when i look at it it show BIOS.bin. should i name it BIOS.bin.bin. I am burning them on a dvd-r made by sony. at 4x. i dont think i have the option of going any slower, maybe ill look. Does http flash involve ftp.

Chuck out that sony disc... and try other brands.
What program are u using to burn the disc btw?

I would really consider using HTTP at this stage, it is much easier.

Lundman53, have you ever tryed the method when you flash your chip with HTTP?

If not Try it.
Set up a network from your pc to your xbox so they can share files. Either with a crossover cable or an ethernet cable if you have a router.

Then go to flashbios on your xbox and click Enable Network Flashing.
Wait till it says TCP/IP protocol initialized and it will give you an IP Address.
If it doesn't find a DHCP address it will assign you a Static IP.

Once you have the IP Address you navigate to your PC and open up Internet Explorer and type the address into the URL bar.

You should get something like this. Then browse to your bios of your liking and click upload and flash. It should be downhill from there.

sounds like a network issue. How have you set the network up?

Before you do anything else, reflash your back-up bios with 3.03

Do not set a password.
