You can ftp it into the back-up folder on the chip, or you can do it through X3CL.

Once it's done you know you'll always be able reflash your chip if anything goes wrong.

dont need to have switch set anyway if you flash your backup bank (power eject at sametime) just ftp the flashbios 3.0.3 to a folder named bios (that you will have to make in C:/ folder)as well as the x3 bios for later use not need to just yet but handy to have on hard drive of xbox then reboot to x3config do the flash backup rom option pick hard drive flash then look for flashbios 3.0.3 then flash it that easy

this is what your trying to fix???
once you have bios folder with flashbios in xbox H/D boot to x3config then goto bios tools option pick flash backup rom
then flash from hard drive
then find bios folder
then flashbios
then flash
then turn off xbox after flash has finshed
then try power eject you should have a working backup bank

boot into x3 config
settings
static ip put 192.168.1.2
now reboot xbox back into x3config
now you can ftp to your xbox dont need a boot dvd or a dash

You don't need a dashboard to FTP if you have an X3 chip flashed with X3 Config Live. It has a built-in FTP server as well. Don't read guides that were written 2-3 years ago. There are much simplier ways to do things now and different ways depending on your hardware.

Don't worry about ports, it will know it already.
Default FTP port is 21. You don't even need to assign it since it is default and already assumed using a FTP client.
