Meh, you're paying way too much for an unproven system and an unproven video format. What's worse is you are not given the choice, it's just shoved down your throat. With a late launch, short supply, so many problems they have been having with Blu-Ray, so many problems they have had in the past, and very questionable business decisions, and really no advantage over the Xbox 360, many people paying for a PS3 are sheep. They are buying on name and market hype.

I'm not interested in one at all. I didn't like the Playstation (Nintendo 64 was my favorite of that gen), I didn't like the Playstation 2 (Dreamcast and Xbox) and I don't think I'll like the Xbox 360 (Wii60 ftw). So yeah, maybe I'm biased, but I don't like Sony or their systems. Maybe if they treated their customers with some respect, were real gamers, lowered their price, and showed some innovation, then that would be a different story. But.. to me, the Playstation 3 is just a push for their next-gen Betamax.

Anyways, here's your forum Captain, have at it with the worthless threads.

I also think the PS3 is a crap system. Not much other options vs the 360. The 360 is a media system rather then just a game playing system. I wouldn't buy a PS3 unless a Blue Ray DVD player becomes cheaper. And I refuse to pay 1K for a PS3. People are crazy.

I am really happy with my Wii. No problems so far, and I don't really want the PS3 until much later.

The jacked up part about it is that according to reviewers, there is no difference in the current ps3 to the 360 other than the control pad. As of now you'll get the same great graphics and gameplay from either system.

the ps3 has like a 6 core processor i think, i read an article in popular mechanics about it. If the PS2 had advanced enough technology to control nuclear missiles, imagine what the technology in the ps3 is capable of :O

I'll throw in my two bits. I went over to a relatives house to check out his PS3. The graphics were nice, but sh*t, all the downloading of this update and that update got old quick. I thought it was Sony's version of AOL or some damned thing given how many times it wanted to update this and that. Other than that...not much of an advantage over the 360. I was thinking about buying one, but that experience changed my mind. Not that there's anything wrong with getting updates and whatnot, but there was nothing substantially better about the PS3 versus the 360.
