i just got my xbox modded with the xecuter3 by a professional installer. since they don't flash the bios, i have to do it. my question is doesn't the chip comes with it's own bios and what are the benefits of flashing it with the 1957 repack. also, if i decide to flash it with the new X3 bios, do i have to rename it to "bios.bin". also is it necessary to create a dummy bin bios for this chip. i'm so confused, any direction you can provide would be appreciated.

Drive Key Not Found Within Acceptable Bounds on BenQ? help

while flashing in JF latest, i got error "Drive key not found within acceptable bounds" and then another "the drive key was not found f/w maybe corrupt"

even though i got these error i was able to save a bin file. a lot of people mention that you get this error because the key is different or longer then normal in BenQ 360 that came as a replacement after old one went to MS service . . . is this bin corrupted... i looked here and other forums and their are pieces of information and no official guide on how to flash it if you get this error. is the bin even valid. . .someone mentioned that you need to use firmtool to make the hacked FW and then flash it. i am not sure if this bin i got so far is even valid with correct key. what should i do, i haven't flashed a BenQ drive. again this drive was one i got when it came repaired from services, and people mentioned that those are the drives that are having problems.

any help be nice! an antual Guide will be very useful

Bumping your own thread won't make it any faster...

Use Firmware toolbox.

yeah, make sure you selected the correct port before you dumped the drive

also, you may want to disable your DVD drives in device manager

for some reason the driver for my LG-1260d interfered with my PortIO32 driver.

blew my mind.....

i am 100% sure i dumped the correct drive. since Jf actually tells you what drive it is and it was exact match according to Jf tutorial. alot of other on this forum and other forum reported similar problem but no one actually came out with step to step guide for it. again when i send Microsoft my old 360 for repair, this is the 360 i got from them.thank you all for reply's!
