Hey everyone, while I'm waiting for my SATA controller to come in, I'm going to be messing around with making backups. I blew most of my money on my 360, dual layer DVD's, and my SATA controller last week, so I currently don't have enough to pick up a Samsung DVD-ROM with Kreon firmware.
Hence, I've been fooling around with the hotswap/WxRipper method for backing up games. My 360 came with Gears of War, and I've been using movie DVD after movie DVD with the emergency eject swap to try backing it up, but I keep getting a "the hotswap DVD was too small" error. I tried a movie that was about 7.91 GB big (Amores Perros) - I inserted it, hit Stop Drive, swapped it with Gears, and hit Find Magic Number, but with no luck.
Can any of you recommend a DVD to use? I've heard Gladiator works well, but I've also heard that it has issues with games like Rainbow Six Vegas. Plus, there are two editions of that movie floating about right now (because there's always the obligatory ultra special extended 3-disc edition).
