whats the difference in flashing the ms25 & ms28

hi im another annoying noob,

i have just order VIA VT6421 so will be trying to flash my xbox soon, i have gone through the guide and video's a few times and i think i have got the gist of it but i keep thinking im missing something.........
i have a Toshiba-Samsung ms28, i have downloaded the ixtreme1.2 and also the xtremebootmaker_0.5.3_rc3 (bootmaker takes care of the mtkflash thing) i will be using the USB flash drive, i will be doing bad flash recovery method.

so my question is apart from the VIA pci and chipset stuff what is the difference in flashing the ms25 and the ms28???????

also any tips would be great.

also when it says disconnect all drives that does mean harddrive aswell dosnt it? and when i downloaded xtreme1.2 there is 2 ISO file do i put both of them on the USB device?

theres no difference with the sata card at all and u shouldt have 2 iso files they should be xtream.bin file u must have a dvd program that makes them isos ... good luck o ya and use the port closet to the front of your computer

hi again thanks for the reply.

i now have another problem that is really peeing me off, i have read all over the net that i cant boot into DOS cause im on xp (or can i access this through bios) if anyone knows how please please please let me know.

if i cant, i can format my computer and put windows 98 on, if thats my only option please may someone tell me how to boot into DOS on 98 ?

i have worked out i have to use the ntfs4dos cd, but in the guide it dosnt say anything about flashing the ms28 with the ntfs4dos cd. itonly says it for the ms25. Can i do it using the ntfs4dos cd?

i managed to flash my drive using the usb flash drive and using the ntfs4dos cd to get into dos. so thanks to everyone who helped and thanks to the creaters of this kickass site.
