HITACHI 79 What's the main difference between the Hitachi's?

Just for curiosity's sake, what the main difference between the Hitachi drives compared to the other brand's (liteon, benq, etc.)? Is there a reason for such different LT+ firmware?

The only real difference is that Hitachi's are flashed differently to other drives. Samsung, BenQ and Lite-On drives rely on MTK commands whereas Hitachi drives are flashed on a sector-by sector basis. You will notice this yourself if you use JungleFlasher to flash the drive.
