Need some serious help PLEASE!!

So here's the story: I flashed a cousins 360 ages ago. it was a 7 series liteon but I never backed up the key which I extracted using my CK3 & probe and then my HDD on my computer failed on me and had to be replaced, so I lost the key. The xbox worked fine for a while until one day my cousin said it wouldnt read any games and displayed the 'open tray' error. 1st thoughts for me was that the drive might have just started to die, so I managed to get hold of a spare one from a friend.. BUT I never had the key.. as I flashed the drive with 1.6 fw the first time, I figured I could use the 'dummy from ixtreme' option in JF to get the key back.. I managed to get back the dummy.bin etc and put the key onto the drive id got and tested it. I still had the same problems. Anyway, we've just gone and bought a brand new liteon drive, 2010 7 series model and i've done the same.. re-flashed using the dummy id managed to get but now i'm still getting the same problem!?

The drive wont read games (original and backups) or DVDs. Is spoofing a possibility? Dont care about online at all, just need this to work!

PLEASE help me! Is it possible to have a dodgy dummy file? Here is my screenshot of JF which I just flashed the drive with the latest LT+ v1.1

by the screenshot you posted everything looks as it should be the drive key is spoofed across correctly
maybe the new drive has faulty laser if the drive dont play dvd then its a laser problem not the drive flash

this often happens with replacement drives from the internet

I would suggest POT tweaking the drive the tiniest bit you can.

Here is what i've done so far:

updated to the latest JF and re-flashed with stock. Tested 2 DVD's and 1 original GTA IV and they all booted 1st time.

Re-flashed with the latest LT+ v1.1 and then got the open tray error? Surely there is an error in the flash process of LT and not the stock...

EDIT: Just flashed back to stock, attempted to load an original DVD and it spins once and gives the open tray error... any ideas pleeeeease?

did you unplug Laser when Flashing? I've heard people say to do it, but when I tried it .. I'd get that Error.. I leave ribbon connected and flashed over works fine.. also you went from 1.60 to LT 1.1 you should be going to LTplus.. you should also spoof the original Liteon 7 series firmware.. then save, then Load in top and click yes you'll see the calibration will show good

^^ for real? i've taken the drive back anyways, and ordered a brand new one from ck3.co.uk which is a teamxecuter reseller so will be legit, so you're telling me when the drive comes to unplug the ribbon and then flash?
