Where did everyone go?

Is it me or does it seem like hardly anyone is using these forums anymore? I havent seen alot of replies to threads and not too many new topics either since the facelift of these forums. The last week just seems like everyones on vacation or something.

Is it just me?

Yeah, I don't like the new setup either, it's kinda unwelcoming. I know it's a dumb reason, but use humams are weird that way.

Yeah I dont really like how you can move your mouse over the topic and it tells ya what it says. Maybe I am old fashioned but I like it where you have to click it.

I kinda like the new rating system though!

alot of people that posted here alot don't seem 2 be around as much and i can only guess their reason is the same as mine. the site seems alot more difficult to navigate and search through just because of it's current look. now i know xecuter said this look was temporary and thats fine but the current look could be whats keep alot of posters away. i've also noticed that there seems to be alot of members on this site online constantly with like less then 10 posts that signed up over a month ago.

I know it was easier for me to do a quick look at the "most recent 25" from the front page and give input to those I could say anything about.

But yourMOM is correct about one thing, 95% of the questions are ones that have been answered 95 times already.

Seriously:
off and on 3 times = FRAG = check your soldering, and I don't care how good you think you did, CHECK YOUR SOLDERING!!! You don't need to ask if it could be anything else.
And yes, doing this CAN wreck things, and if you wrecked a box, join the club, you're screwing around with sensitive equipment! Try an apendectimy on you aunt and see how that goes and then post to a forum saying "I did everything the way the tutorial said, but she kept bleeding... your scalpel sux!"

I think Simple Machines forums are better than vBulletin.

naa, i have personally installed and used almost every major forum on my websites, and the best i have ever used would be invision powerboard. They have tons of little extras and they have almost no bugs. In fact, they just came out with a new version. They aren't quite as tweakable as VB (VB is probably the most tweakable forum there is), but they are still the best.

ya i gotta agree... the amount of noobs on here now seems to have like tripled and they all ask the same questions and answer other questions with totally wrong answers because they think they know what they talking bout.

No the reason is that if you dont log on - it says every topic has 0 posts.

I used to view the forum and only log on if I wanted to reply. Now I have to log on just to read.
