Alright I have a game in .iso format. I need to know where to put it and do I leave it in .iso file or do I extract it to what directory?

One on the ORIGINAL disc ;) ... ISO is just a disc image standard so that all the multiple files can be saved as a single file (like a zip file, but with understanding of media layout).

Hey, wait a minute. Is this a game downloaded from bit torrent (or similar)? That'd be illegal.

DeanO - You will find two options - burn to DVD or FTP to an upgraded HDD. To burn to a DVD, try looking for XISO, since the ISO format used by Xboxes is not a standard ISO 9660 format, and there are special tools needed to mount/burn XISO discs on your machine. Also, as suggested search on Quix both here and at Xbox-scene as a means for FTPing the files over.

yea, on the disc is an xbox iso image.
On the disc is an XFAT (Xbox File Allocation Table) file system. Like NTFS, FAT32, FAT16, etc., the FAT tables tell the computer where to read the next entry for a file. This is regardless of the media format - HDD, or DVD.

An ISO (technically an XISO to distinguish the Xbox version from the industry standard 9660 format) image is referred to as an ISO image for a reason - it is NOT the files themselves, but a bit for bit copy of the disc structure. By taking this bit for bit copy, it can then be burnt bit for bit to compatible media. Alternately, it can be accessed virtually by a driver that knows how to read the file and jump through the file as if it were a complete file system.

Does it really make a difference? No - only an old school computer scientist could cares about the semantics :D ...

DeanO - Get Quix. It kows how to read an ISO image, and let you FTP the contents to your Xbox.

X360USB includes Connectivity Kit V2 Question(s)

Okay let me just start off with saying I know nothing on this topic and I'm sure some of these questions have been asked a millions times. I've searched the web for an hour or two now and I've looked for answers to my specific questions and haven't been able to find the answers I've been looking for. So here's my story. I'm looking to get a new 360 and mod it to play back-up games and possibly run games off the hard drive with no cd's in the cd tray. So I'm aware I will either have to have a mod chip or do a soft mod of some sort. I haven't bought this second 360 yet so I don't know which DVD drive I will have. So here are my questions.

1: I was searching around the internet and found a X360USB includes Connectivity Kit V2. What exactly is this and is this all I will need to flash my new xbox360? I can't get a really clear answer on what this is and what exactly it can be used for.

2: If the X360USB cannot be used to flash my new 360 then what is the best mod chip I could get for my 360? I would rather it be solder-less but if I had to solder it then that would be fine too.

3: Is there someway to add something similar to Jtag without the soldering? I would like to run 360 games without a cd. Similar to pc games with a no-cd crack.

I suppose that is really all the questions I have for now. I'm just looking for the best way to mod my 360 without bricking it up as soon as I get it.

Re: X360USB includes Connectivity Kit V2 Question(s)

1. The ck3 pro and kits V2 are used to flash the dvd drive of the xbox

2. There are no mod chips for the xbox360 that still work.

3. NO

4. Unless you have an xbox with an old dashboard, the only mod you can do is flash the dvd drive
