Be careful with the sample script file. If the lines are not commented out with the # character and you run it, your drive will be formatted. So read all the documentation related to this feature before trying trying to use it.

I think you should leave that specific one that came with the BIOS out of your hard drive, its just there as an example, for if you want to create your own script, and definately keeping it off your drive will keep any accidental reformatting from happening

well 2 late for me i lost a whole 250 gigs worth of sh*t by mistake. team x should post a BIG WARNING ON USEING THIS or just leave it as a seperate DL.i think this should not be included in the bios package.

It's funny how the only people complaining about there needing a Warning on the script are those that didn't read all of the documentation first before jumping into the deep end of the pool. The only thing you can do really quickly with xbox modding is MESS UP.

For those of you that had your Drives formatted, you can just restore from your backups, or reload your original games back onto the newly cleanned HDD.

I loaded the new bios onto my X3 in a rush but left the rest of the files until I have read through them all etc.....

~Had no problems tho, flash went smoothly etc. You're right tho, in general, as I did when modding the box in the first place - read a TON of info, then go for it.

i READ the .txt files with the BIOS release. i then opened and READ the script. from reading the script i came to the conclusion that i was NOT installing/upgrading a new HDD and therefore did NOT upload the script. my data on my HDD was saved because i READ! this does not make me a genius, and this is NOT rocket science. it's just plain ol common sence.
