I've bought this IR Mod
Look at the Installation guide:
http://digistore.no/files/files/IrMod_eng.pdf
Note! If you are using a modchip That has wires to connect to the power button, connect the wire from the controller chip pin 2 (power sw) to that chip along with the wire that goes to power switch instead of connecting to Xbox directly.
Can anyone tell me where to connect the power switch on the X3?

I don't think it applies to the X3 - you'll have no control over the enable/disable function of the X3 power-on with the IR Mod.

I think you'll just connect it as normal. You can try and let me know what happens!

Martin

EDIT : scrap that - I think you can solder the wire directly to the power/eject pcb, but I'm not sure which one as I haven't an X3 or multimeter!!

Hmm.. That did not work. :?
Now, when I plug in the power cable it starts up and there is no way to turn it off.. Continous power.

I guess I've got a power problem.

Any ideas?

I did it exatly as shown on the guide here:
http://digistore.no/files/files/IrMod_eng.pdf

I'm thinking to hell with it...

Not worth the effort.

After some heavy Google'ing I have found out that this product is just halfway there, and other buyers have ordered a new, better produkt from http://cheaplpc.com/

As I should have done in the first place!

Well, thanks again Martin C :)

you would need to get the key of the new drive, but if you was doing that you might aswell flash it

Re: help!!! flashed xbox 360 hitachi rrod

it dont have to be a hitachi 47 drive it can be any hitachi drive you just need to swap over the pcb boards inside the drive.
or just flash the new drive
