Well it's official, i'm a n00b who killed his xbox motherboard. Now my question is, where do i get another one? I have googled and found this place:
http://www.consolexperts.com/xbox/xbox_motherboard.html
Is that a legit site? Or is there a better one out there to get this kind of stuff.

My other question is do i need to change my hardrive. It's in perfect condition but on ebay everyone is selling the mobo and hardrive together, so i thought maybe you need the hardrive that went with that mobo. This probably isnt right but just wanted to check. Thx in advance guys.

Could i just connect a chip and unlock it? Or would it have to be unlocked to even unlock/lock it with a chip?

Holy balls that's spendy. $127? I thought it was only like $80 tops for a 1.6 board and HD.

Was that one of those replacement motherboards that come with a new powersuply, switches, case, hdd, dvd all in a retail box? EB and Gamespot have pre-played (tradein) boxes at that price ... and I'm guessing you're not too far from the EB stores in Greenville.

Re: Which dvd drives?

can u tell by the look of the tray??

There was a post some time ago i found that showed a few different looking trays and what drive it would be but i think it might have been for the regular ''fat'' 360's
