I have a 1.6b with a X3 chip. I want to flash to the latest bios X3 1959. I have the file I got from the usual spot but have a question. In the ZIP there are 2 files X3_1959.bin & X3_1959_v16plus.bin. I am guessing since I have a 1.6b I use the X3_1959_v16plus.bin bios file. I was told there was one for the 1.6 and one for the 1.6b, is this correct. This will be my first time flashing and I wanna get it right. Thank you

just use the file u was saying the X3_1959_v16plus.bin make sure u got your jumpers set correctly... so when u flash the bios it will flash to the first 4 banks (1 - 2 - 3 - 4) which is a 1MB bios(256KB each individual bank) ... u will still have the other bank left which will be (5 - 6 - 7 - 8 ) even if u messed up all 2MB u can still fix revive your modchip 
by using the backup 256KB bios thats built into the chip.
like i say chances of u messing up your Xecuter 3 chip are slim to none when it comes to bios flashing.
the x3 chip i flashed i used the HTTP method and it worked flawless.. did it twice and each time worked flawlessly.
also if the bios dont work u can always use a EVOX M8+ bios file cause those im pretty sure work on 1.6 xbox's. and 1.6b's

you use the X3_1959_v16plus.bin - works on all v1.6 - like it tells you in the readme file

hello im new here and got a ? i just bought a banned console dont know what it was modded with it works fine but when i put my hdd and play bioshock 2 it tells me to update when i say yes it doesnt update it plays fine without the hdd also i tried other games with the hdd and they play fine is there anything i can do? thanks

has the game been patched from wave 5 or 6 to a lower wave to work on older fw ifso update your fw and get a different iso
