Which burner to buy?

Hey guys, I'm planning to buy an HP 1260i drive (http://www.snapdeal.com/product/hp-box-sata-dvd-writer/617987) for burning XGD3 games. I just wanted second thoughts on this drive, and if there are any hassles in burning games with it? As far as I know, there are no revision models for HP drives and it's compatible with the payload tool. I live in India and it's difficult to find drives that burn XGD3 games properly.

And yes, I do know that the Sony Optiarc burns XGD3 games without BurnerMax but it costs around 4 times the cost of the HP drive and it doesn't make sense for me to pay that much extra just so that I don't have to use the payload tool.

Thanks in advance

A galaxy far far away....
for the cost of 1 game you could own an optiarc, this is not a cheap hobby

waste your money on the HP 1260i and use the payload tool, if you come here asking for help after sh*tty burns make sure you post your XBC log

What is better to buy? Used iHas 124 B or new optaric drive? Now I am using iHas 124 D with payload. My burns are good. Maybe one of 20 is bad burn.

your be hard pressed to find a ihas 124B unless its used... optaric,s you will find new off the shelf... either will do but id go for new as there will be a warranty and you never know how used and abused a ihas burner has....

The HP 1260i is mentioned in the BurnerMax Payload Tool Compatibility list here (http://www.ixtreme.net/360-backups/34156-burnermax-payload-tool-compatibility-list.html) and if you think it won't produce acceptable burns, you can just say so properly instead of being a douche about it. All I wanted is a second opinion, Jeez... this is called the Noob forum for a reason ffs...

Hi

I just want to be double sure, the LITE-ON iHAS x24 (A)/B/C/DU models work, but does the LITE-ON iHAS x24 E work as well? Some sites (http://thegamescene.boards.net/thread/4/burnermax-payload-tool-drive-compatibility) reports it as working.

Just making sure as I'm about to get the one as per below, its iHas 124-14 EUV. Will it work?
