Have a read on this: http://www.realmodscene.com/index.php?/topic/2205-xebuild-freeboot-nand-update-tutorial/

Then with that info and putting all the necessary files in the folders (just keep in mind the xebuild and dash etc are a little outdated, but the principle is the same so download the newest dash), you should do the following (updserv needs to be enabled): in the xebuild 1.12 map you type in command:

xebuild.exe client -p

That should update your hv patches. Restart your xbox.

after that you can continue using the tutorial above, or use jrunner to finish the update.

Ready to get back to work on this. I currently have Dashlaunch 3.02 so my only worry is that I see in updates when I put in dashlaunch 3.11 and run the default.xex that it will ask for me to shutdown. Will it still boot up freestyle dash after I shut it down and start it back up? Just want to make sure my paths will be set for freestyle dash because I'm not sure how to get to a file manager through the original dashboard.

I know I was very cautious because I was honestly scared of messing something up, but I'm fully updated and my game plays fine. The first time I tried updating I picked RGH, and selected my type as Jasper 16mb and for some reason it didn't update. Now I just selected RGH and hit the update button and I was good to go. Heart sank for a second when the console turned off, but it booted right back up to FSD and now my game plays.

Thanks for the patience and all the help!

very good.

sometimes it just doesn't take the first time, can give you a can't find console error, but second time actually always works,
