I took yore advice and have instoled unleashx with X-wizard #2.8​

But i now have two quastions.
1. What are emultions and how do i use them.
2. What hacked bios should i use.

emulators are programs which allow you to run games from past systems such as the sega genesis, atari 2600, sony playstaion. You name it and there is pretty much an emulator for it. You need to get game ROMS for these systems to be able to play the old games and install them in the emulators rom directory.

As you are running an xecuter 3 chip the latest bios for this is the X3 3294. Just remember there are two version of the X3 bios's. One for version 1.0 - 1.5 xbox's and one for 1.6+ versions of the xbox. Make sure you use the correct one for your xbox version,

A PS2 emulator on the XBOX is highly unlikely. Emulating a system needs the system doing the emulating, in this case the XBOX to be significantly more powerful than the system being emulated. This is why you are never going to see a PS2 or Gamecube emulator on the XBOX. I mean yes in theory it would be possible to put together these emulators but the games would be so slow they just would not be playable. There are PS2 emulators for the PC, i don't know how good any of them are as I only really like the old retro emulators. The only thing I do know about the PC PS2 emulators is that you do need a fairly powerful PC and graphics card to achieve any kind of decent framerate from the games.

You should also tell him that 3294 has a bug in it with the password protection of the xbox..

If u set a password to lock the xbox and reboot u cannot enter your xbox again
causing you to reflash

you should also tell him if where the seach function is. then the ps2 emulator would have been answered, as it has many times. lol

thanks for the input Tchild but from my experience the password bug does not work like that so I did not mention it. I have only ever come across the password bug after enabling the password and then doing a format on the HDD and reinstalling all software on the disk.

But noted, probably best if using 3294 not to use a password.

well dig thats what started all my probs i flashed on on off off off with 3294 v16plus for my xbox version

went in , set a xbox password and rebooted , xbox rebooted to xbox logo with the xecuter roks my box and just sits there.. i was told 3294 has a bug in it and to reflash , attempted reflash many many times

so booted to backup flashbios and attempted to flash and it never works as i have a 1.6 BOX !

btw so we note, ive read elsewhere that the backup bios dont work on 1.6b boxes
well it DOESNT work on the normal 1.6 boxes either !

so im stuck with a paperweight

this is what ive tried to reflash my 1mb and 2mb banks

1)hotswapped my brothers x3ce for mine in his box while ftp was idle and attempted to upload 1959v16plus to my chip inside his box.. Failed .... attempted 12 times

2) hotswapped my brothers x3ce for mine in his box while his box was sitting at the 3.0.3 flash bios screen - attempted 5 times - all failed miserably..

please note the entire time i made these attempts the boxes were OPEN so i could see the red light telling me flash protect was off !! and yes the switch on front of box was set to off as well per the on on off off off and off on off off off settings for 1mb and 2mb bios


anyone want a worthless xbox ?

Firstly I don't want your $50, make it $100 and the info is yours! LOL

Heres where I feel you are going wrong with the hotswapping:

Don't hotswap at X3Config Live, don't hotswap at Flashbios - this isn't really going to do you any good.

This is what I would do:

1) Go to XBINS and get the file FLASHX3.

2) Install this app on your brothers XBOX and put the 1959 or 1959v16 bios in the apps bios folder. The bios file does not have to be renamed to anything, just leave as is.

3) Make sure your brothers default dashboard is capable of launching the flash X3 application.

4) Reboot your brothers xbox to his default dashboard.

5) Now, obviously being careful - put your chip in his xbox box. It must be left at his default dashboard, also make sure your flash protect switch is off on the chip itself.

6) Launch FLASH X3.

7) Reflash you chip - it's all self explanatory with on screen instructions.

8) Shut down his XBOX, take your chip out, put it back in your xbox and you should be OK>
