Okay, so I'm just about to flash my drive, but was wondering, to get it in mode B, which is easier, the Slax or 2 Pin Trick. I know that for Slax you just put it in the PC, but I've read that people's PC's won't boot to OS anymore. I want to do this, but I don't want to screw up my PC. So which is easier/safer? I have a Hitachi-LG v.0047DJ

Thanks

I can't get either one to work for me... I have a Hitachi 0047 as well, I have tried the Slax 2.1 CD and the pin trick

I used the 2 pin method and it worked for me, I think its easier than all the booting w/cd's but I guess there is a risk factor involved. But what can be easier than: turn on, remove resistor, your in mode b?

Alot of these posts on this forum are along the lines of "what ifs" , "should I" , "What's easier" etc etc etc.

There is always a element of risk in all you do with your own 360.....yes your own 360 no one can tell you what to do only give you advise.

the only advise i will give any one is Don't rush read the the tut's then read them again and again.

All I'm saying is don't be lazy do your research as what may work for one person may not work for you so never take anything as gospel.

one last bit of advice "take your time read the bloody tut's" :D :D :D

I have not done mine yet. But tonight I am going to try to use a slax cd. I have 2 different pc's. I think the slax method should be much easier and less risky.

Any process that does not involve shorting electrical component and/or removing electrical components should ALWAYS be your first choice.

Mess with the motherboard at your peril. Done right it should work, but it introduces much more risk to the process
