I have had my XBOX 360 (with the 20GB hard drive) for about three weeks now...and I have been reading and reading through forums, posts, websites, etc...and I still can't decide which mod will work best for my situation. I would like to be able to create backups of my games on DL DVD+R's and play them with my XBOX 360. I have a dedicated theater in my basement and I am using the wireless controllers b/c the 360 is in the equipment room on the other side of the wall. I can't really hook a PC to the 360 b/c I don't want another PC in my house somewhere else (to many already). I have a media center PC in a closet in my office and the 360 is up and running using the Media Center extender...works great. Based on the no PC restriction...which one would be the best mod for me...or will any work? I mod'ed several XBOX's for friends back in the day...so if I need to solder something...that should not be a problem. I am not a big XBOX LIVE user yet, but I did pay and sign up for an annual subscription, so given the time I would like to be able to use this. I appreciate anyones opinions based on their good and bad experiences, and I appreciate all the of information that everyone shares on this Forum...thanks.

You need to tell us what drive you have. Read the tutorials. And lastly, you can just hook up your xbox next to the pc just for the flashing and when you are done you can move it back. You do not need to keep it beside the pc at all times. Also I would suggest getting a Kreon drive from ebay or using the hotswap method due to you computer not being next to your xbox at all times. But yeah read the tuts and you'll know what I am talking about.

I read the whole thing this morning and Textbook's PDF Tutorial on this site is probably the best one I've ever seen done for anything, period. :D
