Hi All,

I have Winbond 0225 which got updated recently by a DVD disc to 0227 due to dashboard update from 12625 to 13599.

My question now is should I update the dashboard by a disc or usb, prior to opening up the xbox/ drive for flashing to LT 3.0 (Kamikaze method)

I already extracted dummy.bin/ dvd key using x360 USB pro/ck3i/ Jungleflasher.

Appreciate your valuable advice.

you will need to flash your drive back to stock firmware then update the dashboard then reflash to lt3.0

If your drive was originally a 0225 then it will still be an 0225...

The 0225 drive came locked out of the factory and therefore (at this time) M$ have not re-flashed it.....

If the drive is unmodified (i.e. Stock) then just update to the new dash via USB, Disc or Live then flash the new LT+v3.0 when it is released.....

If the drive is modified (i.e. Flashed CFW) then revert to STOCK, update then flash to new LT+v3.0 when it's released.....

Dash 13599 locked the SPI on slim drives 9504 and converted the firmware to 0227. You should update the dash to 14699 first, and then mod the drive. It wouldn't matter if you did it before because for the looks of it you have yet to mod the PCB. The only major difference of the new dash from the older ones would be that all of your backups will need to be properly created and patched in order to avoid AP25 failure with disc topology data

Don't you mean The 9504 Lite-On drive was re-flashed to 0272 and had the SPi locked :rolleyes2:

You do indeed have a 0225 Lite-On with the dreaded Winbond (05) SPi chip :mad2:

It is an '05' chip and needs either the kamikaze drill method or a replacement tx pcb.

In the Jungleflasher the FW was shown as PLDS DG-16D4S 0225. So does it mean it is stock FW?
I am able to play back-up/copied games until now.

If you can/could play backups on this drive then it must ave been Flashed and therefore it should be re-flashed to STOCK before updating the Dashboard :)
