Which update for Lego Dimensions portal of FSD??

Hi,
Trying to run the new Lego Dimensions game on my console. Have copied the game to my hdd but it is detecting the portal as a usb controller and I know it needs an update to detect correctly.
I am scared to install the update on the disk as I am concerned it will over right files on the HDD and not let FSD work again. Plus my DVD drive is stuck closed at the moment so I need to update manually with a USB stick.

Anyone know how to safely update and get the portal working ??

grab jrunner program and read page 22 of the included pdf,thats the easiest fool proof way to update.loook for updserv on page 22 thats what your after
